I hav 4 x dogs

2 x normal weight and 2 that are overweight

Just before Christmas I filmed with them for a TV show on obese dogs in Australia and

why dogs in Australia are overweight

Being an owner of overweight dogs and being overweight myself. I don't think people

should be dragged through the mud and treated like they are bad owners because of this.

Maybe they should be educated.

None of us know circumstances and lifestyles of people

Most overweight dogs are overweight because their owners "love" them, but like me I have

been loving them in the wrong way.

I have a fat Rottie and a Fat Lab

Besides being overweight they are in good health

They are now closely monitored and my Lab who was weighed last friday has

lost 2kg

Do I think I am a bad dog owner? No I don't

I love my animals and will do anything for them

I just don't look at their sad deer eyes anymore

Just my thoughts is all

Spots look different, I don't think it's the same dog, which means there's another , which hopefully is getting treated also!

Good on you for recognizing the problem with your dogs and doing something about it. I don't know how much more education owners who overfeed their dogs need. Because they love them, don't they and you realise that by doing this the dogs are literally being killed with what is wrongly called kindness. There is absolutely nothing kind about it.
