MsBex
Actually, this is quite interesting to me too, I was looking at getting some for Sabby for bushwalking. He cut his foot on the rocks once and I haven't taken him out again. But I thought that if he had boots on then he would be safe.Strangely enough he is quite happy to wear socks which is why I thought he would go ok with boots. He will even leave a bandaid on if I put it on his foot Love that first photo in your signature! So cute!! And the staffy wearing red ruffwear boots in the ad is hilarious! What a funky dog
kelpiekaye
Please remember that the only way dogs cool off is through their feet and panting...........So your dog could overheat. They are used a lot in winter in the USA/CAnada to protect form snow Thats a very good point. I have just got ruff wear boots for my kelpie. I will only put them on when she is running round the farm I think, that is if and when she gets used to wearing them. Could be a while. Fun to watch though. She seems a bit embarrased :D
spoilt lab lives here
At the kennels where i worked we had a dog who had spinal problems and would drag one of his back legs, he had to wear a shoe on the foot to stop it from being damaged. It stayed on well! I never saw it off him, but he always had a spare in the office. Edited February 2, 2010 by spoilt lab lives here
