Red Fox
Kei was prescribed Scourban by the vet yesterday for a tummy upset and while the vet did give me a brief rundown on what the product does I'm not sure I took it all in at the time Tried Google but not much came up... Can anyone shed a bit of light please
persephone
Beena long time .... but AFAIK it contains lots of goodies Antibiotics/binder/smooth muscle relaxant... so it will stop cramping/help solidify bowel content/kill bugs causing the problem... Shelby
Just make sure that you "underdose" re weight to ml than "overdose" otherwise you could cause your dog to become constipated. It does seem to calm the tummy and has an antibiotic in it as well.
Turkey Trip
It is the most wonderful substance to keep on hand in the 'frig just as puppies start to explore their wider world (& its tasty dead snail/bird/goanna germs) and is peace of mind packed in the luggage for an interstate trip. Keep it for when its really needed (most tummy upsets just resolve by themselves - give them time prior to intervening.) Am always amazed that some Vet's don't seem to know about it. The Ark
Our 7 week old Aussie pups were runny for a couple of days. I just gave them one dose of Scourban for two days and they are right again! They didn't seem to have any other symptoms, otherwise I would have taken them to the vet - they were happy and eating and drinking and playing, just doing runny poos! Red Fox
Thanks guys Kei is on it twice a day for 4 days. But the diarreah has completely stopped (actually he hasn't pooped since yesterday morning ;) ) so I'm wondering whether I'll need it for that amount of time Will have to speak to the vet about it tomorrow I think....
