Fingers crossed Whippy!

Nova got a big duck toy that quacks, some balls, a giant Bunny shaped Kong Wubba, some treats, next size up collar, a martingale in that size as well, some ear cleaner, some whitening shampoo for when we start showing, a bigger slicker brush and an undercoat rake. I feel like I'm missing other things too...

Not yet Cassie but I have everything crossed.

Nova got lots of exciting things. I don't need to worry much about brushes as I will really only need one but will need stuff to make the coat shiny I assume some Sort of shampoo for that.

Yeah, I was planning on getting a big bag of food - is it really off everything?! it's a great deal for the more expensive purchases!

It's off everything except marked specials (and anything else that specific store may exclude).

We've sold out of some dog foods, most Advantix, some frontline here in Coffs and I didn't do a big enough order to compensate

(PS. I'm a stock controller in a Petstock store :D )

Well Petstock has 20% off store wide for members, spent over $120 this morningeek1.gif. But stocked up on stuff for the future too.

Whippy is the litter due in September or is that when the mating is taking place?

Haha I had sales today that made that look average lol :) Great to see so many dogs, cats and even birds getting spoilt!

OMG excitement! On my FB my breeder just posted a comment about J (male) not being interested despite P (bitch) being in season! (note: they are half siblings not the intended pairing).

I've had to ask if this means what I think it means! She wasn't due to come into season until January!! oh I hope I have exciting news soon!!!!!

I certainly hope it's a 4 month wait now, rather than the 11 months I've been counting down. I couldn't sleep very well last night...I got too excited :)

also had some very exciting developments re. a LUA dal possibly being imported...we've just gotta come up with the $10k :) lol. I want to contribute but I feel that the possible $500 - all I could afford to spare right now - wouldn't go very far!

Just sorta got given it by my boss in December StaffnToller. I have just been a retail assistant and then new bosses took over in October '12 and it just sort of happened....they asked if I wanted to learn how to order items and I said yes and now it's evolved to nearly the whole back of house that I control. My bosses are awesome and have given me so many opportunities.

The only other industry I've worked in was animal training/tourism at a marine park where I was a café worker, photographer and then animal trainer, so had no foundation for what I do now at all!

I love what I do now though, never knew I had a mind for it! :)

Am sitting at the airport waiting for our much-anticipated new puppy and not feeling any excitement or joy but rather an overwhelming sense of responsibility and like I am at the start of a daunting journey. I am so prepared for this little one yet the pressure to "get it right" re training and socialization etc is just sucking most of the joy out of me. Eeeeeeeeeeek!!!"

Oh thanks, interesting! :) Btw not stalking you, I am lurking in this thread as I will be getting a new pup but probably not until next year.

haha not a prob :)

I'm sorta lurking too, jumping in when I can....my pup isn't til next year as well, this is an exercise of patience! I am not usually a patient person, I always do everything quickly, be it doing an exam at school, doing a task at work or doing something at home, and I like the world to keep pace with me and it doesn't!

So I just look at the puppies for sale every now and again for a dose of cuteness :)

Exciting day for you Brooke - I was a bit daunted at the arrival of Cleo as well - it was something I had organized all by myself and she was my first dog as an adult.

Looking back now, I wish I had cherished her puppy hood more, it really goes so fast. Lessen the pressure on yourself, the fact that you have concern says a lot about the sort of owner you will be. Enjoy your new pup! I'm envious!

  • 2 weeks later...

I think its time for me to say hello! I am waiting on confirmation of a Dalmatian who was mated about 4 weeks ago, the breeder will take her for an US to check it worked sometime over the next week or so.

I am so excited! We already have a Dalmatian who is around 12 years old now, perfect gentleman and never been an ounce of bother. So we thought we would stick with what we know  I have plans of taking my new baby to the puppy preschool at the vet about 5 minutes walk from home, then to some obedience classes as well. I also have 2 indoor Ragdoll cats and 5 kids..... oh and a beautiful husband!

I have been reading along here for a month or so, and thought perhaps it was time to make myself known. I have a name picked out for my new baby, and a disc with his name and my phone number.... and a beautiful red leather collar for him, but thats as far as I have gotten with puppy purchases!
