RubyBlue Posted October 17, 2011 Share Posted October 17, 2011 I use the limited slip over a flat so it can sit loose on the dog but they can't pull backwards out of it on a lead - something about labs and all their jowls bunched up doesn't look right for me. The limited slip I have has less 'slip' than a martingale however I have seen some of the rogz (i think) ones and they have way too much for my liking. I also prefer it as there is no buckle (I have experienced holding a lead attached to collar with a dog running off in the distance - so never again ) All in all its a different variation for the same results - personally I prefer the look of the limited slip. If you want to use it for corrections I'd suggest a martingale with a bit of chain for the slip (I don't see how just jerking the dog will correct but at least with a chain you get a auditory cue) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm interstate at the moment but will post some pics when I get back. I can't remember which dogs were the same now but I put both his parents profiles up earlier in this thread. Maybe in WA, but I don't know of any club in QLD that doesn't allow check chains, I would suggest majority of the clubs in Oz still allow the use of check chains.
