Very cute DL! I quite like number two. I saw my pup today also. It was soooo much fun. I'm really confident in the pup I chose out. He was very people friendly and not as cheeky as the others. His nature seemed quite gentle in comparison. He was lovely! Not long until he comes home.

And I took a video of him too. link

Archie is adorable. I'd love an Aussie one day, I have a soft spot for the blue merle.

Beautiful puppies everyone!

just a question to everyone. Did you have a name picked out for your puppy before you even knew if you were getting one/which one you were getting or did you wait till you met the pup and picked it from there?

We have two names pick our for our little pup, it will all depend on which pedigree name he gets.

 Those eyebrows make him look like a cranky old man. Very cute.

I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out. My dad said the same thing. Haha. Just one more thing to love.

I love both the blue merles and black tris. If I ever get a second Aussie I'll definitely get a blue merle.

I originally loved Bernese Mountain Dogs when I was a girl, but then discovered the Australian Shepherd later. I think I'm just drawn to black tri colouring.

Jakemon she is sooooooooooo cute. Seriously. Those photos are adorable. Her smiley face makes me smile.

LOL at the speak command. How are you going with toilet training and other general training?

Gosh.. I'm so jealous.

Want. Archie. Now. :)

Toilet training is getting there, she just drinks like a fish so I have been a bit lazy with the running to the back yard (2 storey house, with living areas at the front of the house) so I put some artificial turf on the balcony. If she didn't wee so much then I think it would be 90% done. She is the hardest one I have had to toilet train, but I always knew it would be. She was raised in concreted kennels.

She picks things up so quickly...have had to make sure the OH stops doing things sequentially...like sit, drop, speak, as she is anticipating it all and he still rewards her

She is very mouthy, and again OH has to be reminded that it is zero tolerance of teeth on skin. He is wayyy too soft 'she isn't biting too hard!' She has learnt to not go for ankles... I cracked it :) when she nailed me full flight, head tilted sideways to maximise the amount of my calf muscle she could fit in her mouth.

Each weekend she swims in our pool with us, trying to solidly establish where the steps are. On saturday she was actually jumping in - real big dog jumps! - with just us calling her to come.

I am taking a slight parvo risk, but its a calculated one. She comes to cafes for brunch (smothered in pats from strangers), swimming in Botany Bay, already had a sleep over at the MIL's, met cats, horses, parrots, bunnies. She has played with countless dogs, learnt not all dogs are friendly (glad it was just a cocker that taught that!), how to get rid of unwanted exubrant annoyances (lol... the boxer pup at puppy school) by just laying still and being boring... I could keep going on. Oh! and been chased by a cranky cockatoo!

What is it with men? My OH is the same - Akira STILL bites him (though she's doing it less now that Halo is here) and he lets Halo bite him too. I told him the other day that if she bites a judge because he's not taught her bite inhibition I will be VERY angry. :D
