Steph M
Mine works from home so it's a perpetual mess. What I wouldn't give for an empty house for a week or so....
whippytails
Yes it certainly makes its hard when things need to be quite oh well you can guess what I will be up to over the weekend.

Dory the Doted One
My house is currently covered in fluff from multiple toy casualties. LOL.
whippytails
Has anyone bought and kong toys? Wondering about them and is its something that will work with an IG as they have quite long jaws so maybe they could easily get into the kong.
Dory the Doted One
Willow has a puppy kong. She often sits to chew on it, seems to satisfy her. And thats with no treats inside it. I reckon it would be fine for an IG.
LisaCC
Is there actually a difference between the Puppy kongs and normal kongs? Or just a marketing gimmick?
minimax
Is there actually a difference between the Puppy kongs and normal kongs? Or just a marketing gimmick? The puppy kongs are softer and the hole is bigger, that seems to be the only difference I noticed.
moosepup
Nacho has a puppy kong. He has a pretty strong bite but the kong holds up well, they're pretty tough. :)
Steph M
I was thinking the puppy kong for us, no doubt he'll be a tough little chewer but something with a bit of give might be better for teething? Will probably get one of each though, can't hurt.
Dory the Doted One
Willow is a hard biter and the puppy kong I have is probably too small for her. I actually got it for the cats. It stands up very well. I'm going to upsize it soon though. She's growing!
Steph M
Yeah, I think I might do the same. We have one very food obsessed shih-tzu at mum's place, so can always hand down the little ones haha. She drives mum mad with them though, to the point where we were in a pet shop last weekend and she spotted some on the wall and refused to walk out of the store unaided HAHA. Monster! JackC
Koda has a puppy Kong, he likes it but prefers his fresh breath rope over the Kong
Steph M
We've got heaps of rope toys and one over excited person told me rope toys were bad bad bad because they break down so easy and threads could be swallowed. I hadn't even thought of that, but have never had a problem before and hey, rope is probably better swallowed than rubber and plastic? We've got a lot of both, but I personally love the rope toys and won't be giving those suckers up!

We've got a lot of both, but I personally love the rope toys and won't be giving those suckers up! I'm not a huge fan of rope toys, I bought one to be used with supervision only. My last dog had threads get stuck between his teeth while still attached to the toys, and I've seen some interesting vet cases.
Steph M
Oh yeah, would be a supervised toy, but most are TBH. I have never had a problem, thank heavens! Here's hoping they don't start now. Did get a few very cool rope balls, they look good for little teeth.
JackC
I guess I'll keep an eye on the toy and see how it fairs, highly doubt koda could break the threads just yet.
Steph M
I wouldn't worry too much. I think the number of them out there vs number of disasters is probably in our favour. Touch wood!

That's how I was. :) I managed not to stuff anything at work, despite massive distraction.
