stonecutter
Too gorgeous Jakemom! We saw the Kouzoku pups today and spent an hour with the dad (Ronin), 3 other boys and a 16 wk old puppy called Gizmo. Absolutely gorgeous and the great temperament. Had a great long chat and discussion about what we're after in a dog. We'll go back on the first week of March after the pups have had their 8wk check and first vaccinations to interact with the whole litter for about an hour and see which of the pups chooses us / suits us best. Then it's another 4 wk wait until they've gone for their 2nd set of checks. I should have taken some pics but I was too busy playing with the dogs and pups
SmoothieGirl
Tess - I think you have aptly added to her name, she looks like she is going to keep you on your toes, but man is she cute.
Naomi
I'm SO excited right now! New puppy photos were added of my potential pup tonight (3 weeks old)!!! Nick and I were so excited to see them! Their eyes are open and they are all just way too cute!!! Check it out!! We are probably getting boy #1 or girl #4 link They are all so cute. I wish we could get more than one, but I know I'd be asking for trouble then.
stonecutter
Naomi they are just precious on a side note - what does "NBT" and "on hold" mean on the breeder's website?
minxy
Naomi they are just precious on a side note - what does "NBT" and "on hold" mean on the breeder's website? I think NBT is "Name's being taken" i.e. this one's still up for adoption, and "on hold" would be the ones that have probably already had a deposit paid on them. wuffles
NBT would mean Natural Bob Tail and On Hold would mean that they have been reserved by someone (often the pups who look like they may be show quality or have particular markings that someone wants may be on hold from an early age). minxy
Ah ha, Wuffles suggestion sounds much more correct
Naomi
Yep what Wuffles said. Some of the Aussies are born with natural bob tails and others aren't. I'm not fussed if I get one with or without. I love the girl with the dot on her head but she was on hold from day one. Hehe.

SmoothieGirl
Oh, I like the richness of the tan points on girl 4, I'm a sucker for deep tan on an Aussie. One of Kerry's pups eh? I'll be looking to see which you get. Are you thinking of doing any herding with your pup?
SmoothieGirl
Forgot to add I saw Ren yesterday. I forgot the camera (idiot!) but he's now 7 weeks old and has grown so much in one week, it was ridiculous how much they have grown. Even the littlest girl is so much bigger now and almost caught up to her tri colour sisters. One more week to go!!!!
Evolving
Yay Smoothiegirl I cant wait to meet Ren.
Naomi
SmoothieGirl - You must be getting so excited! Only one week. I'm not sure what I will be doing yet. Probably not herding though. It's my first ever dog so I'll be going to the obedience club near here and see where I end up from there. I know that there are all sorts of activities but I'm not sure which ones I would enjoy and which are suited to my dog. That probably sounds very naive. I know that there are all sorts of activities but I'm not sure which ones I would enjoy and which are suited to my dog. That probably sounds very naive. That sounds like a perfect plan...see what both you and your dog enjoy. I kinda ruined my male dog Jake. He was the first dog I got after I moved out of home. I was sooo keen to do obedience I joined 3 clubs and spent 3 nights a week.....heel *check* heel *check again* left turn, right about turn* check again* I was just so keen and even though I could see he was over it I continued in the hour long classes. My poor beautiful dog In the end he hated formal heeling and I couldn't get him through the Novice ring yet could do all the Utility exercises. I stopped entering obedience trials and took up agility which he looooved!

Sooky
Heard from our breeder today and she now has a male pup available and still possibly the female we had wanted originally so can now have our pick depending on whether she keeps the female or not. I am actually coming round to the idea of have a male instead now even if she doesn't want to keep the female. Anyway just had to share with you guys cause I'm so excited to know we'll be getting one :D.
