Well done Parrotpea and Ruby

Well the bitch I was waiting on had her litter.

8 boys

What are the odds of that!

After a quick breeding plan rethink we will be getting a little man instead.

I have to think up a whole new show and pet name now, and the one I had for a girl was so good

Ah well, it will give me something to think about.

8 boys though! I just cant get over it, I really cant :o

I'm watching my pup's flight across from Sweden to Sydney via London and Singapore on http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BAW15/h...1205Z/WSSS/YSSY

He's just landed in Singapore and will shortly leave on the last leg of his epic journey.

This is our baby in Stockholm just before boarding. The breeder did a fantastic job over the last few weeks getting him used to his crate to minimise the stress of the flights.

8 boy's Bjelkier, that is crazy alright. Must not be 'the right one'. I had 4 occasions,'miscarriages' I call them waiting for my new Border Collie little girl. I had the all boy litter, the phantom preg, twice & all the litter were going to show homes. Now finally, more than 12 months after my search started & with 19 days to go before I pick up my new baby girl I am beside myself with excitement. I just kept in the back of my mind when my efforts kept failing, ' you don't get the puppy you want, you get the one you need'. I have a 2.5 year old boy already, so it does certainly narrow down your choices when you have to choose a particular gender & I wanted certain lines in the breed. The first time I saw her, she is worth every bit of that wait. :rasberry: She is stunning. ( and she knows it ).

Those puppies are so cute jrm! I can't wait to see which one you get.

How does the setup work at Kepala? Do you have a run/s booked? I will have little Ruby with me so if there is a space just for little puppies I would much prefer that

We went to puppy preschool last night and she was the little baby of the group - the other two pups were a few weeks older than her and so much more confident and outgoing - she just slept through most of it :D

Keep an eye on the DOL Social pages as there is generally a thread put up a couple of weeks in advance. Its $15 per dog/puppy and the humans either bring a plate for lunch or $5 per person. We book out the lagoon area, a big run and generally there are other runs available for us to use. You can either join in with the bigger dogs, which is ok when the numbers are small, but if the group gets big, we'll find another run for the puppies to play in. Generally they mix very very well, but I know that some of us are more cautious that others (me included).

Toolz, your pup is adorable! So cute.

Bjelkier, that is extremely unlucky. Almost unbelievable.

Jakemon, Tess is such a cutie! And that is a great name too.

I get to meet the breeder and the litter tomorrow. Still not sure which is mine at this stage. SO EXCITED.

Jakemon- What a gorgeous baby!! Just curious did it take you long to find breeder/pup?

I have met many of the breeders dogs over the years and always admired them. I lost my boy to a brain tumor in April last year. My partner surprised me on chrismas day with the news that the breeder had a litter on the ground and we were going to pick one. Best present ever!

Smoothiegirl, she looks sweet but I think is a little shedevil! Biggest and boldest of the litter, and at 5wo was pulling her littermates off a teat by their ears. LOL I can't wait to work with her.

I saw the litter today. There were soo many Aussie's and it was so much fun! The pups are only 1 week old at the moment. We will be heading back to see them again when the pups are about 5 weeks old.

We were so excited when we got back from the visit. We have puppies on the brain!!!

Jakemon Tess is gorgeous..

well looks like i might get to bring my girl home earlier than i thought.. hopefully she will come home a month earlier than planned at 9 weeks instead of 13

Can I ask why you were waiting until 13 weeks? Id be busting by that stage!!

Tess is coming home in 12 days, at 8 weeks old.

How exciting Toolz, ACD puppies :-)

my waiting was more money related.. breeder got burnt by letting a puppy go only half paid for in the past and even tho she knows me she now wont let one leave till fully paid for now.. and since i hadnt actually planned on getting one just yet i hadnt started saving so it was going to take slightly longer to get her but now thankfully it looks like she will come home sooner yay!!!

ACD's ROCK!!!!
