I have some news!!!!!!

:laugh:I pick up my puppy on Sunday 28th March

Her name is Zoe, she is an 8 week old fawn Pug. I was offered this little girl on Saturday by the Vice President of the Pug Club, I at first said no, as I had my name down with someone else, but as the girls, OH and I started talking about it, we decided if she was available to take her. And she was

We have to go into the city on Saturday for my son's wedding, and as we are staying overnight we are going down to pick her up while we are there. How exciting.....

4 sleeps until the wedding

5 sleeps until Zoe comes home

Mich and Jake ~ Here is my stash :)

I have a Kong, Wubba (a fluffy covered toy by Kong), a Dental Chew Dumb bell, A squeaky toy, a soft stuffed toy (make sure there are no eyes, tags or anything they can chew off), basket ball, cat tunnel (only for the puppy stage or small dogs :) ). I think thats it.

Thank you JaxD,

It just came out of the blue, the breeder had kept a male and female puppy from her last litter, she wanted to show one of them. After a tough decision, she decided to keep the little boy.....so she offered me my little girl.....

And it just happened we were in the city on the weekend, and she's home on Sunday.....so

I can't stop smiling  so now its a mad rush to clean house....

Yes yes yes lots and lots of pictures

Thats awesome news Bluefairy. I know the feeling of rushing around to get things organised, but I still have a couple of weeks, including easter. Today I'm getting stuck into the backyard to make sure there is nothing dangerous or poisonous plants etc. You've got a real mad rush though, have fun.

Oh and thanks for showing me your stash. I had a couple of soft toys that were to go to the op shop, but I thought the pup might like them. Just looking at them now they have plastic eyes and noses, so I better get rid of them and buy puppy ones. I want LOTS of pink stuff for my girl too.

ETA - can't spell

Michelle,

Thanks. I went into Kmarts and looked at the kids stuffed toys, I found a Christmas Teddy Bear that had sewn on eyes, and the tags I cut off. If you buy specific dog ones you'll be paying a lot more. Have a look round at different kids toys....things like, tennis balls, frizbee's, etc are great. I bought some dog toys, like the Kong ones, as they last a lifetime. I had one for my last dog, an Aussie Bulldog and she had an extremely had mouth and she could flatten a Kong by biting it, but she never broke any of it up....which really surprised us, they must be made very well.

Good luck.....Oh and look around at toys in s/hand and op shops. You might find some soft toys there...

Thank you everyone,

Some bad news, my oldest daughter, who was 11 weeks pregnant started to hemorrhage I took her to the hospital and she was rushed into theatre for a D&C. She lost consciousness while in the A&E room through loss of blood and her BP dropped.....OMG I was so scared I was going to lose her too....and the blood it was everywhere. I had to leave her when she went into theatre, but she was looking and doing so much better after 3 bags of fluids, and they will give her a blood transfusion as well. I will ring in a little while to see how she is.....I never want to go through that again. It was horrifying....it kinda leaves everything in a void....I guess I am still in shock after watching it all unfold before my eyes.

Golden Girl ~ I'll let you know where I got my Wubba from in the morning.

Ok gotta go.

Bluefairy, that's brilliant news! How exciting! I'm sure the weekend can't come soon enough.

We were hesitant to pay more for dog stuffed toys but ended up getting a couple during a sale and it was worth it. I have an immense collection of old stuffed toys and the plan was to fob them off on the pup, but the way James tries to tear his elephant apart I'm glad he has made-for-dog toys.

Have been feeling a little guilty so far this week - I accidentally poked him in the eye last night and felt so, so awful about it, and today I've moved his vaccination from next week to Friday. But, he spent literally hours playing with our neighbour today and had a ball, and puppy preschool starts next week and I know he's going to love it. He's such a social little guy.

Yay congrats BF!!!

I've been looking at lots of puppy toys too, I love those Kong wubba toys, but they seem so expensive, even on ebay - what's a good price for one and where?

My local Coles has them for $15, they didn't have a pink one otherwise I would have picked one up. The prices on ebay once you add postage are more than that.

Hi mich&jake,

We just love the black and white and found a male that fits our time perfectly. We got a few names thought out for eg Oreo and Shorty(my housemate who graduated was nicknamed shorty by me). We were thinking of naming after her because she went back to her country and we miss her.

I have read about and looked at Georgia in the posts earlier and she is gorgeous. How many weeks more do you have to wait?

Nicola
