JaxD
Hey Didles.. The waiting is over! Can't wait to hear how the kids react.. Really looking forward to seeing some pics! littlehoot, jakeyjangels.. ONE MORE SLEEP!! ;) FD26 - Are you picking him up Sunday? (Tried to go back through the thread but couldn't find your exact day.) What an exciting weekend ahead.. My good news is that Badger slept through last night! From 11pm til 6am! I woke up to him whining to be let out of his crate at 6 and my initial thought was that I obviously hadn't heard him in the night and that he had wet his bed.. But he hadn't... So proud of him! Also had to make his collar a bit bigger today.. Only had him 5 days and already it was getting a big tight..

JaxD
Glad to hear Badger is going so well. Are you clicker training him as well.Have a safe trip Didles. Yip, I am clicker training him.. He doesn't have a massive food drive so just taking it slow. His sit is virtually perfect, he 'watches me' about 70% of the time but 'down' has him (me?) totally flummoxed so think I'll try to just capture the down.. Luring him just doesn't work.. If he can't get the treat (while I wait for an elbow on the ground or something) he just walks off. And 'cos he's so young, I don't want to upset his little tummy by trying a whole lot of different treats to find something that he really wants to work for.. littlehoot
Sounds like he is doing well though. Pugs are foodaholics so I think it shouldnt be too bad. I am so excited that Didles is on the way to the airport to get her pup and that its all worked out for her.

littlehoot
Poppyx, I got a large cat collar for our pug. I figured I would use it until she would fit into a small dog collar. I would go the smaller size but maybe speak with the breeder and ask your pups current neck size

Hey the kids can have the ones that are too small...for their stuffed toys...not for the actual kids to wear!!!
littlehoot
lol Ruby Red. I can see the kids pulling their toys around the yard. Didles must nearly be home and not long now until her kids are home from school as well.
oakeydoak1
Jax - well done Badger - he is so cute. Red Ruby - 3 well at least you have all the basis covered. Lucy generally doesnt wear hers as she is so little I carry her when she goes to the vet. Will put one on when she is a little older Waiting and waiting to see how Didles went
Red Ruby
Oakeydoak1 - Just wanted to say you little girl is stunning. I had a little boy who could of been her twin in 2008. He was stolen from our 6 foot securely fenced yard at 16 weeks. So be very careful of your little one...they are very popular dogs!
oakeydoak1
Thanks Red Ruby - we think she is gorgeous too. We live out on the land on a 4000 acre farm so hopefully no one will steal her!! it is so awful that people do that sort of thing. You must have been devastated. Red Ruby
It was horrible! I had gone to the pet store to buy him a new collar and matching lead as his puppy collar was too tight! Came home and he was gone...fence totally intact, no holes dug, gate firmly closed, it was physically impossible for him to get out.
oakeydoak1
And the worst thing is there was no way you could prevent it. Unless you actually lock your dog inside all day - it can still happen. Must have been someone that "knew" it was there. So sad
MAD
Hey guys! Was wondering if I could join the thread? I have been on waiting lists for a little over 2 years for my little brown newfie boy. The final straw for me was about a week ago when I was on the waiting list for a possible brown boy. A little brown boy was born, but the breeder decided to keep him. I was absolutely heartbroken. I am now at the top of the waiting list for another litter in August/September. I will be getting a little black boy I know it is months and months away, but I thought that I would join in the thread now. To all that have gotten their pups already, they are GORGEOUS! I have read every page of this thread so far!
oakeydoak1
Welcome MAD - dont worry there are heaps of people here waiting along time for their puppies. I had mine on order since June last year and picked her up a week and a half ago. This thread keeps you going!
