Thanks for your PM's of interest guys.. i know a lot of you are very excited to see this amazing man.

Just for future reference, please contact the NDTF direct on the details I provided.

This seminar will sell out quickly and just a reminder that it is going to be for dog trainers, (or aspiring trainers).

Thanks again

K9: the price is in line with the level of the presenter and the cost of bringing him out here.

There are his travel costs, his costs for being away from work and of course it needs to be worth his while.

I am booked out but if I can clear my schedule I will be there.

I find if I pick up one thing or am reminded of something I had forgotten, the three days would be very worthwhile.

Any one going who spots me there, come up and say hello!

The guy sounds very very interesting, but I note in the other thread the NDTF says not for the average dog owner but for canine groups and professionals.

Looking forward to the reports of the seminar though.

Haven't read the books, those that have what level would you say they are at?

The books aren't exactly what you'd call easy reading thats for sure! One of us will definitely be going- logistics of a new puppy will determine whether or not we can both go!

Yeah so academic level or lots of technical jargon?

I don't mind complex at all, or academic but if it is using technical language might need a dog dictionary

If you do a search on Google books you can get a very good idea of his writing style.

Thanks Aidan, I had no idea there was such a thing as google books! :scared:

Oh boy, we'll see you in about 6 weeks then?

Nup just prefer to get my books from libraries and academic sources thanks. Or peer reviews.

Just because I don't buy from Amazon doesn't make me stupid, be careful about the assumptions you make about people Aidan that comes across as very condescending when it was a genuine query about the academic level of the books.

Just because I don't have a professional qualification in dog behaviour doesn't make me incapable of reading a book. Part of what a tertiary education teaches you is to apply learning procedures across a wide range of subjects not just just a narrow field.

Quickasyou can it didn't come across that way to me?

More that since you have now found it, you may spend a lot of time checking it out and reading stuff on there. It is easy to get carried away looking on some sites. (my choice seems to be clean run :scared: )

We all have days like that, no hard feelings. Google books is like the ultimate library, if you've never got lost in there before you might take a while to emerge.

P.S I'm a high-school drop-out so you're a long way up on me!
