Risyntira
I was in a similar situation as you KR just a couple of weeks ago I had a blue girl and a black girl... I picked the black girl in my litter... why? Better stiffle, better topline everything about her was just so much better.. But saying that, some days the blue girl would stack perfect the next time she would rouch her back and looked like she just didnt want to do it, the black girl is very full of herself and is so outgoing and amazed me everytime I stacked her, she seemed to get better and nicer everytime I would evaluate them! I adored the blue girl, something that I've wanted to breed for a long time, nice lines, good health and temperament with the excitement of colour plus she was the first pup to be born on my birthday :p But, I had a serious think about what I would prefer to breed and hey, there is always next time ;) I can't really see much in regards to the photos as the angle that it was taken and being too dark, is it possible to get some more photos in daylight when your friends come over? kelpiesrule
Yep, prefer to see them in the flesh as photos can lie (make good dogs look bad & visa versa) but as per photo I too think the choc girl will be the better (even though I love black bitches!) Mind you they do both have some lovely qualities! ;) Decisions,decisions,decisions.....at least you have 2 to choose from, I have to get my pups safely on the ground first, then need to get some bitches in the litter, then need to have at least one nice one ....lol suppose I've got step one covered, we are pregnant! :p More photos at 8 weeks would be great ;) , try by then to access their movement as best you can & I think the outgoing nature of choc girl would be something I'd certainly be drawn to ;) Then hopefully I'll have a choice you can help me with...... Fingers crossed for you maggie-mae :p sigh... what I think I really need in the near future is an outside/outcross female puppy... I agree with you Showdog... attitude is everything in the ring... these pups mother was not the best pup in the litter, but her movement and her attitude just made her standout and has kept her in the winners circle. She is s fun bitch to show and is still loving it at 6 years old... but it is time to semi retire and get some of her progeny in the ring.

Isnt it hard when you breed a colour you really love but it just isnt up to scratch. Good on you for going with the black... I would dearly love to show a black bitch but im just not sure this little one is going to be the one. I am hoping to take better pics on the weekend... kelpiesrule
Decision has been made... yes it is earlier than i would normally do, but i dont think they will change much more from what they are... they are now 7 weeks and two fellow breeders agree with me... So, please meet Sirena (Suthenskys Shameless Scandal (Pending)) (very bad photos of her, she is such a happy squirmy little thing haha)
