BJean
Can anyone recommend an excellent, experienced vet in QLD (near gold coast, but ultimately will travel) The type of vet you'd trust with your best dog (your whole kennel!) and have absolute faith in the vet's diagnosis and advice. Does not have to be a reproduction specialist, I'm looking for a vet with expereince, is breeder friendly, and has the nous and know-how to think outside the square. Thankyou Edited January 12, 2010 by lilli
goldchow
Lilli the only vet I'd recommend anywhere in Brisbane is Ian MacBride at Deagon which unfortunately for you is on the north side of Brisbane but just off the Gateway arterial. For 40 years he's been a brilliant breeders vet, the hands on type who can diagnose almost 100% correctly within 5 minutes of examination and asking questions. He's semi retired and is away for several months each year (heading off in February) but he may fill your need until you find someone you feel confident with closer. Ian may also be able to recommend someone, he's very well known in the vet circles. Really good breeder vets seem to be few and far between nowadays. Fit for a King
Annette Page is now operating out of Greenbank - she's a repo vet but jack of all trades as well. At least a little closer to the Gold Coast. I was just told about Ian so good to get another good recommendation.
ahmadi
I have been to many many vets over the years.
