may I suggest a vet/chiro/nutritionist .... those feet will be not very comfortable ....and growing as they are, will not be growing into the correct shape ... poor little (not-so-little) girl .

Hopefully you can get her back on her feet properly with not too much work  She is an appealingly goofy youngster

She looks like one of my fosters Sirius. He walks on his pasterns and has splayed feet. Part of that is genetic and the other is due to lack of muscle and tendon strength. My vet has advised me that Mr Sirius has to start swimming for strength and toning... someone forgot to tell her pei are allergic to water

She may need some gentle but regular exercise (along with a good diet which I am sure she is getting) to help build muscle tone and she may end up walking back up on her feet.

I don't hold out that hope for Sirius but his feet are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy worse than hers.

We were talking about her lack of muscle today, we will get that rectified and hopefully, with a bit of luck, her feet may come right. She is origins unknown but obviously poor quality food and lack of excercise has made an impact already. I will pass this info to the rescue co-ordinator before our vet visit.

round these parts she probably would be sold as a genuine 'pig dog' and used to go hunting pigs  so i'd say she has some of the hunting breeds in her

She is gorgeous though - what a big girl she will be!

I see a lot of Pointer in there, but as for the other breed/s very hard to detect.

The back is relatively short, so it would be safe to say that neither parent was Greyhound or other kind of long dog, the shape of muzzle and head also supports this idea.

I am thinking some Great Dane in the mix with those legs.

Probably a 3 or 4 way mix, maybe with Pointer on both sides.

Yes thanks. I will talk to the co-ordinator about it tomorrow. I am going to talk to her about her back legs also, as something does'nt look right there either but could be coming from her feet.

Some kind of larger hound-type breed plus a dash of "Staffy" genes?

Looking at her feet and elbows, IMHO she seriously needs to get on correctly balanced, large breed puppy diet.

Edited for typo.

I would agree with Bull Arab mix, maybe one of the larger hounds in there or a little Dane - those are seriously long legs to grow into.... although she is getting into that puppy age where they can have legs and elbows everywhere for a while.

You will probably have trouble getting through because she is flat out with MDBA awards right now but I know that Julie (STEVE) has had good success with diet supplements getting distorted feet and joints (on rescues) back on track. I am sure as soon as she can spare a minute she would help...worth a PM anyway.

I actually wouldn't rush into a giant breed puppy food without a consult with a canine nutritionist or large breed specialist first... but those feet and legs are repairable with correct diet, supplements and correct exercise I'd bet.
