I bought mine from Pet Barn. My crew all think it's fantastic and get incredibly excited when they see it's on the menu, but none of them are particularly fussy either

I've had my 4 dogs on VAN for approx 3 months and they are doing well on it.

Initially, my 2 kelpies would eat everything else around it and leave all the grainy bits in the bowl  . I started lacing it with either yoghurt, eggs or soaking the mix in water with a stock cube and they are now finally eating it without a problem. I did notice some coat dulling/skin drying from one of our kelpies at the start which I am not too sure wh,y but her shiny, beautiful coat has returned.

Mine get roo or beef mixed in, sometimes chicken or salmon!

With 4 dogs I am no-way playing "chef" but with an ageing GSD who is very arthritic, I wanted to give him the best diet possible so I decided to go a more natural diet...so all the others got the diet change as well.

My lot are on it at the moment - dogs of various breeds ranging in age from 7mths to 8yrs and a 1yr old cat.

They get it twice a week, three times at most - with either chicken, beef or kangaroo mince. I usually add yoghurt, eggs if I have any here, livamol and omega 3-6-9 oil.

Other days they get RMBs of varying types.

They're doing really well on it and they LOVE it, even the cat! It's all I can do to keep them out of the blasted kitchen when I'm mixing it up

Yes pixie, i do the livamol thing as well. It seems to really be noticable with my chocolate girl it keeps her coat dark and beautiful

My guys get livamol also, I'm not sure how good it is though because it's very old, though it is kept in the fridge...

Glad to hear there are so many very happy dogs on it

I went to the homepage and ordered from the link it provided, it was $12.50 per kg I think plus $6.95 I think for P&H.

I assume fussy eaters would eat it as it is what Monties breeder recommended and she had lots and lots of Paps, I'm assuming some of them would have been fussy! That said, if a dog has no choice but to eat what's put in front of it, sooner or later the dog will eat. If Berri doesn't eat his meal I offer it to the cat, who gladly polishes it off (she's a major guts). The next meal, sure enough, he eats without a second thought!

where do you get this stuff, do fussy dogs like it?

You can get it from good pet supplies stores (who would sell things like barf patties etc) or some vets sell it.

The cheapest place I've found it tho is at vetnpetdirect.com.au - even with freight to Tassie it works out cheaper than buying it locally.

Kelpie-I

I did notice some coat dulling/skin drying from one of our kelpies at the start which I am not too sure wh,y but her shiny, beautiful coat has returned.

Some dogs might go through a detox on it as the good stuff in VAN takes effect and the bad stuff in their system has a bit of a last ditch fit, so they might seem to get a little worse before they get better. This will be even more noticable if you switch to raw at the same time.

Very similar to me - I was put onto it by the breeder of my red Australian Shepherd for keeping his coat colour nice

livamol is fantastic for dogs. I don't use it anymore for the dogs because they are on a complete kibble (artemis) and no point oversupplementing, which alot of people do. I still give my horses livamol. Fantastic for coats.
