Daisy toothaches are the worst :( Hope you're feeling better real soon!

YAY I managed to complete c25k week 4 day 1, which all up is 16mins jogging in a half hour workout (2x 3min and 2x 5min) which for me is a pretty big achievement, I am very happy with us for completing it, even though the malinut could no doubt run a 20k marathon with no worries LOL

I don't know what we are going to do when we finish up on this job (2 nights left after tonight) :( It's going to be hard to get off my fat butt and excercise when I am sitting at home on the computer... How I wish I had a human excercise partner to help keep me motivated - the malinut is great but he is happy to just chill in his crate 98% of the time and will only harrass me to play if I bother to go outside, which isn't all that often, heh...

the tooth ache comes and goes, but I have an appointment at the dentist next week

Ok so it is happening, the reason I started this thread, I have only walked once all week, have completely lost my motivation. Been tired and it is cold in the mornings and I am not wanting to get out of bed early, and it is dark when I get home from work now  Will have to make a big effort this week!

Good on you Daisy :)

I should really be going for a run tonight (was too lazy last night), but I've just pigged out on fish and chips for dinner and the malinut is comatose in his crate after the photo shoot this afternoon, and then going nutso after the new staffy ball I bought him this arvo, which I unleashed when we got home! He spent about half an hour zooming around the yard with it, it's GREAT because he can't pick it up LOL, and then he gave up and crawled into his crate...

Must set my alarm for early tomorrow morning and go run then...

Hi Daisy and everyone. Daisy I am with you in the motivation league. As it gets colder I want to get out less and less. Abby isn't giving me a choice though. I was late home from work yesterday and she had all but destroyed her bedding in the crate. I felt so guilty that we went for a 90minute wander and I let her say hello to every barking dog behind every fence. I guess it is harder for you though cause your dogs are older and have company during the day. They are probably less demanding even though they would love their walks. Abby is an only dog who spends 8 hours a day home alone. And she is only 7months old, so full of energy all the time. I am such a cold frog I am already wearing a scarf and jumper when we walk so heaven help me when it gets really cold. To Melbournites and Adelaideans the temps we get in the 'gong aren't considered cold, but I freeze.

Keep writing Daisy as most loggers are probably like me and are just slack writers. I enjoy reading the posts though. Where do you take your dogs? Just street walking or do you go to parks as well? Are there many off-leash areas where you live? It is good to hear what you are up to; unfortunately though you seem to be having a bad run with illness so I hope you get well soon. :)

Sigh. I knew I'd left it too long in between runs :( I just have a major case of the CBF's lately with losing my job and all :/

c25k week 4 day 2 failed. Managed the first 3min run and then got to about the 2min mark in all the rest and had to stop because I was seeing stars. The hilly terrain probably didn't help much either >_<

I think next time I shall drive us to a nice flat sports field and do laps....

At least we had a good long walk this morning, all up I think about 1hr 20mins :)

Go you  I've been so unmotivated lately and therefore a bad dog mummy. half an hour of fetch has been Sophie and Chase's excercise regime for the past few days! At least it's the weekend tomorrow! I think we'll pack up a picnic for us and the furkids and go for a walk along the foreshore at Redcliffe and then stop for lunch along the way.

ETA - oh, that was my sly entry into this thread - haha. I have the chronic disease known as "Fat Lazy Ass" and need to beat aforementioned condition so walking the dogs seems like the perfect way to do it, even if a gym is way more fun. I'm hoping that i'll morph into one of those sickening gym bunnies who can't go a day without taking a jog because they're just so bloody fit and gorgeous and love excercising. Don't hold your breath though - lol.

Sorry I have been absent for a while!

We have been walking about 4 days a week, on the other days we either have been doing obedience or just playing in the yard or dog park. Great Improvment I think!

Going to go home this afternoon & walk the furkids again. We usually take the same boring old track for a walk so I might spice it up!

I'd like to join in to.

I live on acreage so I usually let the dogs have a run through the paddocks, but going for a walk will be good exercise for me. I also have a new dog arriving in the next couple of weeks so would be good bonding time with him.

Hi guys, and welcome NSW

Have been on and off this week, haven't walked every day... had my tooth taken out yesterday, so was thinking yay the toothache would be gone, but have been in pain ever since the anaesthetic wore off  Hoping it will get better soon, because I really don't feel like doing anything much at the moment

Ouch Daisy I can understand a lack of motivation after a tooth extraction.

We finally got out for a proper walk yesterday. The muppet is all healed, had his stitches out on Tuesday and now has a zipper and 4 button holes but he is fighting fit again. Thank goodness.

My other boy also seems to have got over his injury too. :(

Bugger Daisy, I hope you're feeling better real soon, tooth aches and mouth pain in general is the worst :(

Well, we drove 5mins up the road today to a nice flat empty sports field LOL

Managed to complete c25k week 4 day 2 :D and I let the malinut have a pretty good free run as 90% of the field was fenced, and there was noone else around (he just runs in big circles around me anyway), so he had a ball as well :)

I think next time we go down there I will take something to throw, so I can launch it into the middle of the field for him while I do my laps around the outside.

Keep up the good walking, everyone! :)

The c25k thread in OT seems to be dead, I posted but noone replied... so I shall keep bothering you friendly folks :P

Damn this thread is hard to find when it's not on the front page >_<

c25k week 5 day 1 done, just... I really need to get off my fat arse and start running every 2-3 days like I'm meant to, not once a damn week :(
