dogbesotted
My Guiness McGuinnes is gone. His oral tumour(dx late 2006) became to much for him to live with and he joined his mother and fellow maremmas today. Guiness has been nestled in my heart ever since he breathed his first breath.. he was still born and i was lucky enough to be able to revive him.. way back in june 2000... not long enough. where he used to be, there is a hole in the world. Erny
I am heart heavy for you DBS, and very sorry for your loss of McGuinness. RIP McGuinness, and join all our heart and soul dogs who frolic on the otherside of the bridge, waiting for that time that eventually befalls us all when we are reunited once again. It is so, so hard to say goodbye, but if we wait patiently it will make that final and everlasting "hello" so overwhelmingly joyous. spottychick
I am so sorry to hear this. I too know the feeling of loss you're going through. I had to say goodbye to my own big fella, who was also named Guiness, just a few weeks ago. Rescued him as an adolescent and taught him the world is not the cruel and lonely place he thought it was. He gave joy, loyalty and affection back to me in spades. They become so much a part of you - the hole they leave behind can't be mended Take care. Erny
They become so much a part of you - the hole they leave behind can't be mended In time, though, the hole they leave behind becomes a window in your heart for compassion towards others and it becomes easier to bear. Sorry too for your loss, SC.
