perryamstaffs
Would anyone be able to give me some ideas on where a good obedience club is in SE Suburbs of melbourne as i am new in the area i have a new pup to socialise and train and a 2.5yr old who i want to start from scratch (has the basics)as she is too excitable around other dogs and wont listen (prob my fault as i haven't taken her before), have been trying to get her used to other things that she was scared of (cars, trains, trams and general day to day things) as i got her as older pup at 9 mths, Have been trying on walks but she needs some structure, need some where they are good with strong dogs and strong willed dogs. Cosmolo
Depending on the times and locations you are looking at, we run classes in the areas as does Erny who is also on the forum.

Mr R & NR
Erny trains at Lynbrook, near KCC. You can contact her via her website, she has training info on there. Group classes are on Sunday morning but she also does one on one if that is more suitable. Group classes may be better for the socialisation you want your dogs to have. Sticks1977
There is also K9IQ who are up at the Swinburne Campus in Berwick - classes are on each Saturday morning between 10 am - 11 am. The classes are run by some of the ex-ADT trainers and the business model as far as I am aware is not like ADT, you pay $10 for each lesson (on a pay-per-lesson basis). I do not think that they have a website but you may be able to find some information on them with a quick Google search.

I like it because classes are relatively small and very controlled - no one will just come up to your dog and say hello etc. There is plenty of room so you don't have to be close to other dogs.
