Agility Dogs
We had a good day out. Mr CK was very happy in all his runs and got his first Q in ADX with a great run, if you discount the way I handled him on a truly evil dog walk approach - I didn't want him hurting himself and I didn't think he had the understanding to do it without some serious baby sitting so I made it messy, but safe. He even got his weavers 3 times out of 3. (I think he likes the slightly wider ANKC weavers.) Xena ran really well, but I have to go back to working on contacts and insisting on criteria. ADO - one fault. AD - One fault. JDO - Q with a very nice run. Not talking about JDX. No bars down from her for the whole day though.....

Abby is one of Woofenpup's kelpies. I wanted to train a kelpie in OB so Woof was kind enough to lend me Abs! I only get access to her once per week but we do our best! Agility Dogs
CK's run from the weekend. I was wrapped!! I really feel like Xena stole a CK suit. Now I just have to get him to run like this on ADAA courses.
Vickie
He looks GREAT AD Very focussed & fast. Gawd that DW entrance was awful! Have to wonder what the judge was thinking...You did it with minimum fuss though, well done. Congrats to everyone, some very impressive brags here We had a great weekend in Newcastle, one of our best yet in terms of quallies & placings. Biggest brag is that both my girls did exactly what I wanted in every run other than dropping a couple of bars. We even had a couple of runs that I did not feel I could have improved in any way...those come very rarely but they are so awesome when they happen . FHRP
A little brag on my Polo. Last night he got his first blue ribbon in 'agility'!! Polo won Novice Gamblers at our ribbon trial, accumulating 31 points in the opening sequence!! This boy is fast and driven, but he is big and over enthusiastic. He has lacked obstacle focus and will often run around things 'cause it's quicker. Last night was the smoothest run he's done, choosing to do equipment more consistently instead of just run around like a loon It was nice to be rewarded with a first place. One more Q for his first agility title Now if I could only put in the time to teach him to weave....

RubyStar
Introducing.... Milliemoo CCD Millie had her third CCD trial today to pull off her third and final pass, and her third 1st place!! It was a clean sweep Today she scored 98/100 Losing 2 in the heelwork. You wouldn't believe me when I say she was actually very flat today (until you see the video ), even when I had treats outside the ring, she was not her usual bouncy self that is an eager little beaver to work and makes it so fun to trial her! But she was a good little girl and concentrated on the job at hand and did everything right - couldn't be prouder! Next up, Novice! Her debut will probably be in a few weeks time. Let's see if she's still as capable in a trial scenario when the lead is gone! Edited August 21, 2010 by RubyStar

RubyStar
Ruby had her 2nd attempt at Open today, no pass as I expected, but there was some lovely work in there amongst the not so good She started off really well in the heelwork, back to her "up" self that I have been fighting to find again, but she was so "up" that she took off down the ring to say hello to the figure 8 posts that walked out as we heeled back down the ring Proving once again why her middle name is Ratbag with a capital R!!!! Lots more distraction work required ;) SFE was a disaster, no surprises there, especially when the judge literally leant down to let Ruby give her kisses!! No Lab in their right mind is going to stand still for that Drop on recall, bit slow to drop, but at least she did it on first command. Retrieve on flat was ok, she picked it up by the end then dropped it to pick it up correctly, no biggie in my mind, fixable and not a usual appearance in training. Retrieve over solid jump, LOVELY Distance control, lovely again! Got full marks for that, though she did move ever so slightly forward in the down. Something I am currently retraining but I reverted to the word/signal she already knew until the new one is solid ;) I have videos of both trials that I will work to get up online tonight Well done to Bedazzled who took out Open on a verrrrrry lovely score!!! Can't remember if it was bedazzled or Ptolomy who took out UD, no doubt one of them ;) Oh and I met Strauss Cute little fella, so full of beans!! RubyStar
Woohoo well done Millie and with three 1st places WOW! Watch out Ruby, Millie is hot on your heels . I literally held Millie's Qually card in front of Ruby and said "IN YOUR FACE!" I think Millie is going to be the obedience dog I hoped Ruby will be... but I won't be giving up on blondie just yet!!
