Lightroom Question

You can download a plugin to do it - i found it on another forum quite a while ago now. Google "borders in photoshop" and it should be somewhere on the list. I think it was called LR/Mogrify - it does watermarks too. I'm not sure if there's a different want to do it - I export and then open the shot in photoshop because I find that easier.

You can also create the border action exactly how you want it in Photoshop, then export that as a droplet to Lightroom. Then when you have done your other Lightroom edits and want to export the file for the web or for printing or whatever, you simply add that droplet from the export menu (where you set your sizes and destination folder and all that good stuff). One stop finishing :)

I see you have had a change of heart about lightroom, it is a fab program! I havent figured out how to do borders in lightroom so I do all mine in picnik or photobucket, I find Picnik is easier casue you can then save the image back to your pc at whatever size you like, you can also add text to photos too.

heres the link to picnik

http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome

you can also do other cool stuff with it too, some of the features are unavailable unless you pay.

Oh the other thing is why cant you just install LR on the pc that has PS on it or visa versa??

I am not using lightroom, sorry TLC, was trying to help someone else

Yeah I have it saved on my desktop where it has been for months. I get too bored and my mind starts to wander.

I learn best by being shown so some Youtube tutorials will keep me focused!

You could always create the border on one computer, save it to usb and transport it to the other computer.

I find photoshop easier to use for things like borders - lightroom I use for simple colour touchups, photoshop I use for "editing".
