Umbrella Carry Bags

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I am just looking for some feedback from people that use umbrellas (large beach sized) when trialling, showing, even campers and beach goers etc. Dog purposes or otherwise, any application included. Any assistance in the way of replies to the questions below or any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a carry bag for your umbrella, umbrella stake and mallet?

If so, where did you get it from?

If not, would that be something you would like to have?

If so, how much would you expect to pay for such a product?

Many Thanks in advance

(I posted this in sub sports, but I think it doesn't get much traffic)

A friend made one for me out of rip stop fabric with a velcro closing. I think it was about $5 which would have been just material costs. The problem with most umbrella/tent/canopy bags that come with the product is that they are too small!!! My suggestion would be to make them a bit oversize so they can be packed away quickly without needing arigami skills!!!!!

I bought a bag of Eukanuba the other day and received a freebie  large umbrella with a carry bag included. I'm grateful for anything I can throw over my shoulder and keep my hands free to hang on to my dogs lead.

I have one that carries umbrella and stake. I got it from Dogsundercover at a Canberra Show.

I don't use the umbrella anymore so its just sitting in the garage. From memory I think I paid about $30 for the bag.

Thanks for that poodlefan and gsdog.

Ditto from me too Bedazzled I got a gazebo but have ended up having to get a stripey bag for the cover, walls and pegs in it as I cannot for the life of me at the end of a trialing day pack it away into the bag with the frame.

Dayze I would love an umbrella bag that would carry my umby in it along with mallet/stake and a couple tent pegs/guy ropes pockets in it.. The plastic bag covers just don't last.

also would love a wheeled bag big enough to lug obedience/agility jumps in it any suggestions?

Thanks for your comments Kallistar

Regarding your agility equipment, sorry no suggestions there.

But with the Umbrella Carry Bag, excellent news.

So, a nice roomy, heavy duty, easy to carry bag sounds like a good idea??

yeap sure does

Thank you very much. Your feedback and comments are invaluable.

Doesn't have to be all positive. I welcome negative comments also, all good.

I don't need one for an umbrella but rather for my UD gear- box and two pull apart poly pipe jumps. I reckon they would fit into a standard beach umbrella sized bag! I was thinking of making myself one but really I'm too lazy and I don't own a sewing machine!!

I bought a cheapy 'plasticy' umbrella bag, mainly for keeping it more confined in the car. Can't remember where from and only bought it 'cause it was cheap :) In all honesty, I see very few umbrella's used at agility trials around here, people now seem to all have gazebo's.

Hi Dyzney, Shelta Umbrellas make a zipped umbrella bag the only thing it doesn't have is a carry strap but they are worth a look and they will hold a stake but you would have to work out how to close the off the bottom. They are made of very sturdy vinly the stake might have to have a tip on it as it could go through the vinly after a time hope this helps.
