ellabella
Hi, Unless the bitch is coming from the UK she must go through the normal rabies vaccination which takes about five months from when she is vaccinated until when the blood is taken for the RNAT. She then has to come into whelp and be mated and (accordinging to AQIS) must leave for Australia no later than 20 days after the mating. So I don't know where the twelve months is coming from, however it would depend on when she come into season after she is cleared for Rabies (and all the other blood work that must be done depending on where she is coming from). She then must spend 30 days in quarantine here. Hope this helps..
