MissMolly
Hi, I have a friend, and his dog has hurt her paw, she has been to the vet and they have bandaged it up etc... But she keeps taking the bandage off and then is licking it and making it bleed again, my friend has tried with socks and she gets them off, also took her back to the vet and they have rewraped it but she is still getting it off... She can't be left for a mintue because as soon as he is not watching her she starts chewing off the bandage.. Does anyone have any idea's that might help.. Thanks.. becks
Use an elizabethan collar of correct length so she can't reach the foot at all
Clyde
Put something like bitter bite or DMA on the bandage.

benny123
When this happened to Spud we first tried a sock which he promptly ripped off then an elizabethan collar, but he wouldn't move from his bed; he wouldn't eat or drink he was so terrrified of the collar. We then went back to the sock but placed a velcro band around his ankle and folded the top of the sock over it - we won, he couldn't get that off. oakway
Get a wire or plastic muzzle and put on the dog.
Bully
Use an elizabethan collar of correct length so she can't reach the foot at all This would be the best suggestion, altho' when Pele broke her foot as a 9 month old pup she learned that if she pushed the bucket into the corner of her crate so that it bent over she could then reach her foot and chew the bandage - aaaarrgh Put something like bitter bite or DMA on the bandage. Didn't work with Pele, she was determined to get that bandage off Go with the bucket. She won't like it but it probably will only be for a few days. Hope the foot is better soon
Georgie-boy
I ended up Leukotaping a sock to George at one time - the only way he couldn't get it off. Maybe give that a go?
