Thought I'd do an update.

  • Title Rosie the Beagle - Nearly there, will be counting her points tonight after our weekend away.
  • Eagerly awaiting Ben to turn 6 months to compete with Rosie - He's going through the uglies now but is still winning CIS
  • High hopes for Princess Patricia Pointer - Not many shows thus far for Miss Pat but Fwarkie beat her last time she was out
  • Gidget the IG is looking very nice and growing well so more hopes there - She's won a few RUIG and many CIS awards. We think she is gorgeous.
  • Get to some shows down south and catch up with everyone - Does Alice Springs count as down south???

I want to have more fun, I have always stressed myself out when I have been in charge of things at shows and never really relax except when I'm actually in the ring, the last show was the first one in ages that I wasn't running around like a moron and I had a great time.

I don't care if my dogs win, they don't know the difference either as they are spoilt rotten regardless, but a few nice wins would go down alright :)

I have been living by this so far, we have been having picnics and yummy baked goods at most shows and having a really great time. Well I think so at least

Get all my entries in on time.

I missed one :D but we are still in the show ;)

Another Goal I have that is carried on from last year, to qualify as many of my dogs for Battle of the Greats and/or Contest of the Rising Stars.

So far I have qualified:

Gidget the Italian Greyhound (Berizza Love Supreme) for COTRS (I think she is nice enough to qualify for BOTG before 1st of July)

Rosie the Beagle (Jansline Dancing Queen) for COTRS

Patricia the Pointer (Aust Ch Breilla Pat Me Pointer) for BOTG

Nicky the Whipper (Aust Ch Aasky Brodice Brazen) for BOTG

Ben the Beagle (Sanmar Blue Moon) for COTRS

I have to qualify my Stafford, Harry.

Harry is now qualified for BOTG :)

We also qualified Cherub (Italian Greyhound - Piccino Zucchero) for COTRS on the weekend.

All these guys have done us extremely proud this year and it's only just getting into the busy season. Hope to continue on our winning ways in the middle part of the year.

We have welcomed Clarkie to our fold as well with many thanks to SBT123 and Ashanali for their help and guidance with these two. Fwarkie has already won a RUIG and we are hoping for more now that he is finding his feet on some real green grass :D Love you Warls :)

My trailer is being delivered today which will make life easier and much more fun.

Now to sweet talk Aziah into sending me a WC(P) and we will be complete :) :)

You've been having a good time

But I thought you said you didn't want a Pembroke  you said you had the Swedish variety! I'm sure one could be arranged for you to play with if you need one :)

Oh, I forgot about this thread too!

Abby's and my fourth show ever, and she took home baby puppy in group and baby puppy in show! Our fifth show and she took home another baby puppy in group

Very exciting and a great confidence booster for someone new to showing. We've got one more show this weekend, and then we are off to our Specialties in NSW over the Easter weekend.

A photo taken last night of Abby at 18 weeks (today).

I'm very happy with my monkey's progress so far

I might update too!

I took Abby to the Beagle Specialty in Sydney over Easter, packed up the hubby, the two older girls (beagles) and Abby and drove for 14 hours down there. Had an aweful time down there missing all my own things and hurting myself... but to make it all better and worthwhile, Abby took home Baby Puppy In Show. To say I was shocked was an understatment! Trying not to cry and shaking like a leaf I was! Abby didn't know what the hell had happened. And that was after winning her class! I think I was still in shock when we got Baby Puppy in Show because the emotions were at bay!

Abby's tally so far:

2 x Baby Puppy in Show

1 x Baby Puppy in Group

They are 5.5 months old now, so only two more weeks and she steps up with the big girls! I'll try and get an updated photo at some stage.

Here are two photos from the Toowoomba Royal @ 5 months.

And the gorgeous face that won her the baby in show at the specialty:

I'm now thinking there's a fair chance I'll title at least one of my two

Oooh, and to make it to shows without having to change a tyre :D

Isn't that what spares are for Meg?? :)

Yay for Rosie. :) Although, when you already have the title of Princess, Champion doesn't really matter. Will it be Princess Champion Rosie or Champion Princess Rosie?

Will she still play with Dollop when she has so many titles? :) He's over the half way mark.

Finish the last 25 for Pinky, we were waiting for her to turn 12 months. Need one more CC and she's become the queen of Res CC :)

Title Brett. We've made a start on the points and he's been up there from the minor and puppy class with the Res CC's and RUBOB's

Have some funny with Sessy Whippet. Sessy is always fun and she was BOB at the Bathurst Royal and she's now learnt to catch food, so a whole new world has opened up

Bring out my new pup. The new pup made a debut in the Junior Class :D for a BOB

Get to as many Specialties as I can, this year I could only do two and the British Terrier, so more planned for next year. Managed the ACT show thus far, Pinky was 2nd in Junior both days, Brett was 4th on the first day and 2nd the next

Have as good a year as last , if not better. :)

She'll just be Princess still I think, as you said the other title is a bit silly when you are a Princess.

It took her 3 days to play with Dollop the first time I have no clue what the Princess will do

  • 2 weeks later...

I went snooping through Sandra's kennels today and took 3 rather handsome Whippet boys for a run out in the front yard on lead.

I think we have some new (older) prospects for the upcoming hound club show
