Vickie
What a great thread, I loved looking at all the pics. It's amazing how much talent we have here on DOL. I haven't taken much time this year to look at the photo forum, but seeing a sample of the year in this thread really showcases the improvement that so many people have made over the last 12 months . ~*Shell*~
My 3 favourite dog photos: Terranik's Jedi My 3 non-dog photos: Not so much for the quality but because it makes me really happy everytime I see it (it's the drummer from green day playing a song on the guitar - he's my favourite musician of all time and it was the first time I had seen him play anything other than the drums at the many many green day shows I've been to - the fact that he's playing it on the lead singer's BJ guitar just makes it 100 times cooler ). This was taken on my point and shoot (a canon ixus 80is) but I wish I had been able to take the slr. A shot taken to prove a point that it's not about the equipment, it's about the photographer. My brother and I had a challenge going where we had to take a photo (with my SLR, both using the same lens) of a seagull and nail it in one shot, this was mine (I should note that I won - Ryan's shot looked like a floating plastic bag over a carpark and unless you zoom in, you can't tell it's a bird ): A lucky shot at the zoo - the peacock put it's tail down about half a second after I took it.
