Vehs
:D My new BBQ came in a giant box, so aside from myself hiding in the box away from the D - what else can I do with it? He's happy to jump in, lay down, and have the box closed for a few seconds - I was thinking of building around this and do a trick called 'surprise!' where he covers himself in the box and on the command surprise jumps up .... but not sure where to start should I back chain it so he's jumping up and then work on him using knotted ropes to close the box? He's never really pulled on a rope before (aside from tug games) any advice is appreciated or alternative tricks
MrsD
Hope someone can help with the way to teach the "surprise" command, both of the things you described are in this fantastic routine (beginning & ending) by Richard Curtis & his BC Jazz . Vickie
Putting his toy/s in the box is another fun & relatively simple trick Vehs. as is Circling the box
Vehs
hehe Vickie - he has mastered toys in the box, with a smaller box, everyone loves watching that trick how would I go about teaching him to circle something? I might make it a chair instead of the box for now eta: thanks for the video link - they always give me good ideas for tricks Edited December 7, 2009 by Vehs
MrsD
To teach him to circle it, lure him around something smaller (a chair would be good) & when he has it transfer it to the box (not forgetting to go back to basics the first time you change the parameters like going to a new object ;) )
