The Body Parts In Our Freezer.

Today I sorted and packaged the meat I bought for the dogs last night. As I stacked it in the freezer, I realised we store a large variety of body parts in there.

We have:

Legs

Wings

Necks

Thighs

Feet

Ribs

Spines

Tails

Carcasses

Hocks

Liver

Hearts

Kidneys

Brains

and an assortment of muscle meat minced with offal.

All of it's for the dogs. I think they could probably go 10 days without eating the same body part twice.

What strange things are in your freezer?

Hmm I have heard about freezers like that being used as evidence in Mass Murderer cases

Mine is a similar mix of body parts, all of which get consumed with gusto by my two Dobes :mad

It sure beats a cupboard full of bry biscuits when it comes to goodness and variety

& it really doesn't take much of an effort, just a well trained butcher LOL

It sure does. And I didn't even have to train the butcher, someone else must have. Both the butcher and the chicken place we go to have a whole section dedicated to body parts for pet food, most of it is $1 kg or 50c a piece for pigs trotters. The chicken shop sometimes has a big tray of wing tips, and as soon as I spot them I buy the whole tray for my oldie, a 15yo Lhasa Apso who can't manage larger bones, but she adores these and crunches away happily on them.

The butcher minces muscle meat with offal because "it's better for the dogs"....his words.....and it costs $2 kg. I add eggs, rice and veges, bag it up into meal sized portions and it's far nicer and healthier than any tinned food.

:D mine for kids

I have a match box car too

Okay I have to ask about the car??? :o I've just got the ordinary stuff in mine.... wings, necks, carcasses, livers, hearts, a few fishies.

oh I forgot! We actually have some plastacine dinosaurs in ours at the moment (because they kept melting in the heat so the freezer was the obvious place for them).

Kids, eh Pandii? :D Everything goes in the freezer.

I used to keep kids socks and jocks in the freezer. They were folded up and stacked on the lid of the freezer with the expectation that the owners would collect them and put them away in a timely manner. If they were still there when I needed to open the lid to get something out for dinner, I'd just dump the whole lot in the freezer.

Many a time, my boys wore frozen socks to basketball cos they had to fish them out of the freezer in a hurry!

LOL,

My freezer is about the same.

I also have a few packs of old frozen peas with big X marks on them.

We used them as ice packs,,,just throw them on the ground a few times and they snuggley fit over any area (without being heavy or awkward)

I have a few frozen oranges in there, kids love them for school. Keeps thier lunches cold too.

On a good look a few frozen stubby holders!! Must be the sons but no idea why they are in my freezer??

Lots of rubbish at the bottom. Escaped peas, broken frozen pastry, bits of plastic, odd frozen chip..*reminds self it is time to defrost and clean out freezer*
