pip1981
This is our Samoyed Dakota, and her friend, our cockatiel, Winki. I don't think we would leave them alone in a room together, but they seem to get along ok...lol

Ripley
Same here. I have an Alexandrine parrot who kisses my dog goodnight and flies down to drink from her water bowl. Parrot is boss.

~*Shell*~
Aww - Winki is very similar to my boy Lucius! He and Zero don't any much to do with one another (both of my cockatiels tend to be more people focused and Zero pays them no attention whatsoever!) but I've caught Zero sleeping under their cage a couple of times when we've had workmen here. I think he wants to protect them.
wuffles
Our cockatiel when I was growing up through he was a dog. He used to talk incessantly to our cavalier, must have been so annoying for him

Ripley
Treats are there to be shared. The other photo I caught my Alex sneaking up on my Burmese while she was trying to nap, he has an "I wasn't doing anything" look on his face, but those velvet puss cat ears are there to be preened according to him (and my cat lets him). pip1981
I'm really enjoying everyone's offerings on this topic! Lovely to see all the animal love! LOL Do you guys think the dogs and cats respect the birds because we do, as their 'pack leaders'? We had Winki out of her cage again this afternoon, and I think we will do so more and more, because she seems relatively comfortably around Dakota, and Dakota seems to enjoy her company. If Dakota gets too close, Winki just does a sort of warning peck on her nose..it's very cute, and Dakota responds to this by leaving her alone, it's great! Maybe this is the beginning of a great friendship! Shell: Lucius is very pretty, and yes, very much like Winki! I love his name too. wolfgirl: I love your galah's mode of transport...lol..cute
