My PIXMA iP4500 is almost dead.I have been told to get one formy Birthday present from the family

Ok, thinks I , I'll get another. Wrong.

There is only one canon printer which is NOT a 3 in 1...and is most like my old one..and has individual ink tanks

$200 is top price, less is better

BUT I want a reasonable quality print., and my old pixma did that. Had a HP before .. wasn't the best.

Any other suggestions?

I dont understand, the one you showed is only $159, isn't it any good, if you dont want to pay more than $200.

Yes- I just looked a bit closer, and the one I posted about is apparently the 'newer version of the one I have.... so looks like it will be that one. I have spoken to a store owner and he gave me a few models to check... not keen on any of them

I have the pixma 4600. Bought it a year ago and I think it prints decent quality prints

OMG - persephonie you have the same printer I have!!! I only use it for proofs though and the very few images to put up at work - while it does a good job on photo paper its much much cheaper to get photos printed at the lab printers.

Whle it does go through the ink with all the proofs do prefer the fact it has the individual colours as seem to go through more yellow than anything else for some reason.
