Worming Dogs

Just wondering if people think Drontal is the best general wormer, or perhaps some other suggestions.

I normally use the Drontal, but wonder if I should be alternating it with others in case it loses its effectiveness.

Any thoughts?

Drontal is fine. I have used the chewables. Also use have used the canex tablets (because they have been free with heartworming products) and sentanile spectrum.

I think that it is suggested to change the brand of your intestinal wormer every so often so the wormies don't build up a tolerance to a particular brand.

We worm with sentinel spectrum as it covers us for heartworm, we haven't had any issues with it losing effectiveness.

i can't see why a wormer would become less effective? It isn't the same family of worms hoping back into the dog again

I mainly use Drontal or if there is a special offer on, Milbemax.
