Don't panic guys, my precious girls are fine which is the most important thing xx

My BRAND NEW 1 week old iphone was stolen out of my car by a couple of LOW LIFE SCUMS that don't deserve to be breathing.

Lucky me. I have a 2 year contract of paying off a phone I don't have and can't use. None of my insurance policies will cover my phone, and I have to find me $800 to buy me a new phone because I am not going to let these bastards make me settle for continuing to use my piece of crap phone. I very rarely buy myself nice new things, money always gets spent on the dogs (treatments, medications, training gear, toys, etc etc) and the minute I decide to spoil myself for once (because who else is going to spoil me?) these bastards come along and take it from me

when did this happen RS ? so sorry but at training all the time we tell people to lock their cars, to park under or near lights etc. A few months ago they were removing whole windows. At Tuesday training one night they had a field daythere were dogs in cars and still stuff stolen. Sorry but really we all know abouth the rotten thieving and know heaps of people who have been robbed. We really really need to lock our cars and park under the lights. I saw a car on Tuesday with "all valuables have been removed from my car" I think that is a great idea. My biggest fear is something will happen to a dog, or a puppy stolen. I have sleepless nights about it.

Sorry about your phone ..was it insured ?

This makes me nervous as i take 3 kids i leave them in the car i park right where i see it though but still :s

On the plus side Ruby worked beautifully and her boxes are to die for! Lovely

Thanks :) Along with everything else that happened I'm bummed that we didn't get to finish our round! Will have to borrow you and Ptolomy next week to run us through some more pretty please.

I was really chuffed with Ruby's box! :D Shame that she decided not to do the jumps when she got them perfect only the night before laugh.gif

Caffy and I had an encounter with an unknown person this morning at K9 - minding our own business on the bottom oval - the only 2 cars at K9 and a male came up and parked next to our cars. We hightailed it back to the cars and locked everything and just stood there until he took off. We got his number plate and have given it to Bevan - very creepy. It was a white older model commodore and yes the driver was dark skinned.

Congrats on the results OSS and Mirawee, but such an awful run you've been having Mirawee. Sorry to hear about the yearling. :(

Absolutely fantastic news about the rule change Wassat.

CC, glad to hear Louis seems to be improving.

Boxagirl, glad to hear that Bondi has eaten something, hopefully that's a good sign and your vet is wrong.

... but when do I say enough is enough?? I don't go chiro or anything coz the dogs get and my neck is buggered!!

Ah MG, you never say enough is enough, you just go without for the love of your babies. Kuges' heart meds added up to somewhere in the vicinity of $8000 over the last four years of his life, and I don't begrudge a cent of it, 'cos it meant I got to have my boy with me for all those stolen years. I have no idea what I may have missed out on for myself because I simply didn't think that way. Rent, bills and their stuff first, and anything left over was for me. It's quite a novelty now having some luxuries.

Sorry you lost your Iphone, but OMG I'm relieved it wasn't one of the girls - nearly had a heart attack here too.

We took Ella for a walk around the bridges today, took a little over three hours all up, but we did stop for a few rest and drink breaks on the homeward stretch. Am happy to report that the Mends Street Cafe in South Perth is dog friendly. They allowed us at a table outside, we shared a Caesar salad and some really good bruschetta while Ella had a rest and a drink. A little further up the South Perth foreshore, the Boatshed Cafe also welcomed Ella at their outside tables. We just had a coffee and cake. We are planning to go again maybe in a few weeks so long as the weather is mild enough, so if anyone is interested in coming with us for a 6km walk with a cafe stop or two, just let me know. :)

Can definately do that RS. Congratulations Mirawee.

Scary stuff Ptolomy...glad you got back to your cars and nothing was pinched...not sure what the answer is as none of us have intimidating dogs and I think they know that. My biggest fear is if they steal the car with the dogs in it or do something to them... I can replace stolen items but not my dogs!! I think K9 is being targeted right now and we all have to be very vigilant.

I agree with you, the fact that they got away with so much on Friday night has made them brazen - we really need to be mindful of these guys. I don't think the ' let's keep all our valuables locked up and the criminals will go elsewhere approach is going to work with these guys", wish the cops would do more. I would suggest not going to canine on your own to train, don't leave and let someone be there on their own. At the sports club where I belonged they hired a security firm to be there at night when people were training ec. Not saying k9 should do that as they are expensive here but I don't think they should just do nothing. Again I m lucky as I take hubby to trials he can watch the dogs but my concern is for other people

Sorry double post.

Why I suggested k9 committee should decide on what to do is because if I do my own thing, and the next person does there thing then we are not working as a team to combat this. There are also k9 members who are not on WA click or DOL who won't know what is discussed etc so they need to be informed too.

Don't want to post on WA click as the people on there are scary - but next time you all have a trial the day of the trial in the morning someone can call 131 444 and ask for a 'Request for patrols' job to be put on, just explain you have had multiple thefts/suspicious people around at trials and then they will route the patrol cars to come by during the evening. ;)

Also if you see anyone suspicious call 131 444 and report it, they usually get a car out pretty quickly, especially if you see the person casing cars ect. There is a big sign outside the Police station in Canning Vale saying the same thing because there is a rise in burglaries in the area. Katie I hope you and all others reported your thefts to the Police as if they are not reported they don't know the extent of what is happening and they base their patrol routes etc on that info.

It's 4am here but I am up with butterflies in my tummy as I am showing a dog in the national today! He is a very handsome and sweet boy that is coming out to Aus in Jan. There is also the cutest pup here and if I could he would be coming with me in my suitcase! It's very full on here, so many Britts and I am learning so much. I am feeling a bit sad that it ends today though.

How exciting RV - hope you had an awesome time at the National!!:happydance:

Does anyone have their Canine News handy? I need to know the email address for the trial secretary for the Dobe Club agility trial to see if I can get her moved up to Excellent Jumping. Hopefully they let me.
