Miss Anikka was indeed beautiful! Jerry Whippet & I were in front of her in the Baby In Show line up :D

I wondered the whippet was owned by a DOLer and was going to ask but thought the lineup wasn't the appropriate place and then got busy handing Anikka back to her owner :D I love how babies say hello to the other babies while waiting in the ring  Jerry is very cute and was so good on the table :D

LOl, it's gorgeous isn't it? :D Jerry was a bit knackered by that stage, no wonder he was good! Long day, we arrived at 9.30 and didn't get in the ring till after 2!!! Guaranteed that if I leave it till lunchtime at the next show, it'd be all done and dusted by 11.30

eta - I took some pics recently of a work collegue's cats, and discussed how I hated seeing puppies etc in pet shops and talked about puppy farming.

Well over the weekend when shopping for a scratching pole, they bought a Chi x Staffy for $700 from a pet shop :banghead:

It's a tiny little thing and I dont think they have had a dog before, so I've pointed her to the puppy pages here and said make sure you treat it like a dog, not a cat!

Why!!!??? :eek::(

Was wondering exactly the same thing!

Fish oil - all of my dogs (and any boarders I think will benefit from it whilst here) get Omegamagic Plus oil on their food each night... it's a combo of fish, vegetable, flaxseed, evening primrose & wheatgerm oils and is awesome for itchy, scritchy dogs as well as a general joint health supplement.

Mr Poo-Fong actually takes it as well  in a glass of milk each morning - he swears his knees have never been better since he started taking it, and says it beats swallowing copious amounts of fish oil capsules but yeccch! I don't know how he does it :vomit:

Can you get it at City Farmers or BP&G? And roughly how much does it cost and how long does it last? :thanks:

And isn't it an animal product? But Mr PF takes it? Oh my! eek1.gif

RS - yes, you can get it at CF or BP&G, should be about $35 for a litre, and a Lab would have about somewhere between 5 - 10 mL a day, depending on if they are showing any symptoms such as sore joints, itchy skin etc. More than 10ml per day is a waste, less than 5ml per day is also mostly a waste.

And yes, it is an animal product, and I am indeed married to a freak :D (but a freak with functioning knees, a shiny pelt and an ability to scratch behind his ears with his foot   )

After a horrible day, which it seemed Bondi had gone down hill- she didn't move allllll day, was panting, crying, not really drinking and could not get up to go outside (the one time I tried to help her up she yelped and was in alot of pain and very distressed so I stopped) - and I was at a loss of what else I can do for her, havn't stopped crying all day- I am not ready to say goodbye to my little girl -I went outside for abit because I couldn't take seeing her pant in distress anymore, and I sent Dad in to see her. 2 seconds later Bondi came sauntering out (walking ok, not perfect but better than expected) and went straight for the garden and did THE biggest wee ever (poor girl must have been holding it in- it went for about 5 minutes!) and number 2's too Then went and said hello to our guests (we have people staying here at the moment) and then followed me back into our room, and she actually had a drink out of her bowl Then she laid back down on her bed, and I decided I would take Booker out the front for a walk around (poor Booker hasn't been getting much attention the last few days while I have been looking after Bon and I felt guilty) and about a minute after being outside with Booker, out comes Bon again! All on her own accord she had gotten up and walked outside (at quite a fast pace too! lol she must have been worried about Booker getting all the attention) . She did another wee, and then we went back inside.

I am so glad she was able to get up and about eventually! Abit of hope after a horrible day. So fingers crossed after her bowen and accupuncture she will continue to improve.

Good to hear Bondi is on the mend  fingers crossed for her.

I took Brookie to Deb's today and poor boy had a 30 minute needling plus some manipulation. He looks a ton better but is fast asleep now. He went to sleep standing up and if I had taken my hand away he would have fallen over!

I find it amazing how sticking needles in them sends them to sleep! Tossing up whether to go see Deb again with both girls or try Bowen. Decisions, decisions!! The problem is I'd like to get them routine a "tune up" every so often but the costs just add up too quickly :( Bring on a lotto win!!

Its funny but when they both just need it you somehow make a plan, Mason only goes every 2-3 months but Gibbs is every 2 weeks atm with his leg/shoulder.

Mason just sits very still with the needles, Gibbs passes out totally
