RubyStar
Rach, I hope Buddy is ok Hugs to you and your little man! RS i don't stress so much about my dogs so much now that they are inside... my biggest fear, always, was baiting or theft...i am less worried now that they are inside all the time. The only time it gets hard is when Ari is about to come into season and for some reason loses the control of her bladder!! I had an empty block behind me when my dogs used to be outside which always worried me. I don't stress when they are left at mum and dad's and are outside in their backyard, as they don't live on a corner block, and they've lived there for about 12 years and the neighbours are all good (funny thing though is they tend to be left inside at mum and dad's for some reason!) I stress at them being left in my backyard because I live on a corner block and I worry about baiting. I don't leave them inside at my place, just don't trust them and I have no doggy door, but for some reason they are pretty trustworthy at mum and dad's (and Millie can squeeze through the tiny doggy door at their place ) I have left them inside my house once for half an hour one evening when I went to Coles and everything was fine. But all day, no way man!!! P.S. I dropped them off at mum and dad's today. Such spoilt puppies Edited June 30, 2011 by RubyStar

emery
Just a question so I can be sure i am not spouting BS. Are there any laws to debarking in WA? everything i found said there are no specific laws though RSPCA do frown on it Emery you can have it done as a last resort (as to euth) just get GH or a vet to say it is needed and you have tried all other alternatives etc. I think GH still does it. J Thanks wazzat its for a friend i thought it was a last resort and not ilelgal in wa just wanted to confirm and as far as i am aware it is still done by G. had a lady go me after i suggested, crate training, no bark collars or debarking after trying other options that every one of those options is illegal with the rspca and she is appalled i would suggest such a thing, gave me a good giggle lol
RallyValley
Hmmm on Sunday my parents have to go to some remote place to pick up an engine part for my dads chevy so I am to go pick up Zora alone... ... Do you think it's traumatic to put her in my PP50 straight after her flight? Might call my brother and hope he can do it.

Cider was a nightmare - picked her up walked her around the airport for 30 minutes, put her in the crate in the car and within minutes - she was screaming her head off and had managed to roll the crate. So I pull over - and remove the crate from the back of the car and put it on the front seat which stopped the crate rolling again but it didn't stop the screaming. Hmm hindsight.....maybe I should have put her straight back on the plane and said return to sender

RubyStar
So you're not working anymore, RV? Thought you had to work through her arrival time! That is good news that you get to go, but even better if someone is driving so you can sit with her. I'd offer but got a trial on Sunday! Hope your brother can help Can't wait to meet her!! And wow time has flown!! Is it THIS Sunday you get her?!

RallyValley
She is landing at 12. Amypie I might take you up on that, no such thing as too many hands for a potentially feral Brittany pup ;)

CrazyCresties
Hi All - hope you are all well... I have been absent for a bit and have a few pages to catch up on. I was in Singapore last weekend for their dog show. I got to handle a lovely Afghan - I took Best of Breed and Best in Group under a Croatian judge and Reserve of Breed under a Japanese Judge. I also handled a sweet orange roan cocker spaniel to Baby Puppy in Show 4th! Well done RnH, sounds like a successful trip Very jealous of Afghan and Cocker cuddles, love both those breeds :D Awwwww I can take meeting photos!!! Lucky you - make sure you take loads :D I would be so excited too if I was you RV, hope all goes well and you have a smooth trip back
