RubyStar
Well it is a gundog afterall, and I do love my gundogs. No guarantees I won't fall in love, because I do already like the breed, but I still want to see piccies!

RubyStar
Yes it's orange and white (so nice and easy ;) ). I am quietly excited! I will be more excited when exams are done and I am on Uni break getting all the puppy stuff ready and puppy sitting ST's mob :D They are not even a week old and were only 2 days in that picture. There is no litter theme, so I have free reign of show name choice! The prefix is 9 letters, so I have 21 letters (including spaces I think?) to play with, any suggestions? She will be a mostly white bitch, with orange bits. I like the idea of having the word Lily in the name (in reference to my old girl)or white wines (in refence to my nonna who shares a name with the dam and had a wicked sense of humor). ETA- Also call name will be Zora is a Slovenian name that translates to dawn - so maybe dawn theme names too? *Prefix* Dawn Lily ? It's pretty. Or what about Lily Of The Dawn? I dunno, I suck at names. Although, I am hoping I can pick my next one and if so, I have one already picked out :D Hey RV, what about Prefix Dance Til Dawn? I like that for myself, but a bit poofy for a boy dog

RallyValley
Baahhhh haaa James is not going to want to go home !!! Is Toby enjoying having him? James is quite indifferent to Toby, so it's not really a big deal for either of them. I think Toby likes to have another dog in the house though, even if they don't really play, although Toby tries It's very cute. I'm enjoying what it is teaching Toby. Ptolomy
It must be the day for good news and cute photos :D Latest blood tests results on Scoota and woo hoo bad results have been halved cholesterol has dropped from 17.7 to 8.8 ALT (liver enzyme) from 2400 to 1100 and Bilirubin from 80 to 20. These are all still out of the reference range but at least we are heading in the right direction and yep it looks more like poisoning now. So opening a bottle of red and raising a glass to Scoota and his specialist

OSoSwift
Great to hear both Zeus and Scoota are on the improve and also Emery's cat. I am wondering if anyone would know of accomodation that is kid and dog friendly for the middle of June?? It would be for 2 nights maybe a night or two more - not quite sure as yet. I have found some googling, but would appreciate it if anyone can recommend something.
RubyStar
Phwooooaaaar James, if I were a dog (err bitch?), I'd so be hitting on you! You're such a spunk!!! Woohoo for Scoota!!!!! Good news on Zeus, emery! Well I can add to the doggy wars. Ruby has been lame this week Took her to see the wonderful Deb Nook yesterday arvo. Thought things were looking up, but she woke up this morning lamer than she's been all week Good news is it's not her joints. Looks like her tricep in left front leg and her hammy in rear right leg. Bloody 2 food game with a hyped up more than usual dog Gave her some Rimadyl this morning and will give her another tonight, more rest and hope it all comes good Sigh! RubyStar
Poor Ruby - sometimes they can take a day or two to improve after the accupuncture. My kids are off to see Deb tomorrow I hope so. But I wasn't going to wait around any longer so gave her rimadyl. She had to be crated this morning while I went out for about 3-4 hours, poor girl hasn't been crated like that since she was a pup and I bet she was wondering why she was being punished! She isn't limping as much now as she was most of the morning. While we saw Deb, I also had her draw bloods for titre testing. Oh my gosh, I was almost in tears. Millie CRIIIIIIIIIIED It was clear that it was awfully painful and traumatic for her, echoed in her cries and it just broke my heart!!! Took Ruby in next, prepared for the worst (she's my baby afterall) and she sat there like a good girl, offered her paw, made a small cry when it went in and all was good! ness
Kenz sends her best wishes to Ruby and can fully sympathize with the whole crating aspect. She is just one lucky BC that I am around to supervise and she has not yet been placed onto full crate restrictions. She certainly would be if I wasn't home. And for her its only just the beginning - we still have at least another 6 weeks of this .
