What a beautiful house CC, I would never have given that up for stinking hot summers and snakes!

My little buddy Gary and I would love to meet some nice doggies around here. We are trying to work on his socialisation. It's not that he's aggressive, but he is a little timid and gets overwhelmed by the big, persistent sniffy dogs who tend to frequent the local park. I need some positive experiences for him in a more controlled environment, I think.

Hmm well I haven't seen or been in snow so I am totally not sure about that part of it!

Did the dog bitten by the adder survive okay???

Surely a rare snake bite has to be better than seeing 8 snakes already around my house - feisty tiger snakes, my FIL has seen 16 and they have killed two of my chooks????? Oh and my SIL had senna round 20 at her place.

Just got a call back from the vet. Xrays show no fractures in toe or knee, cruciate is still intact, however there is pain on manipulation of the knee enough to get her to try and sit up and squeek while under sedation!!

6 weeks strict rest, then 2 more weeks in the dog yard which OH has started to build and will be finisheing when his holidays start in a few days! We miss out on out last club trial of the year and I can't remember but she hs missed one other from being in season adn I think another with a different sore toe!

I think maybe she just wants to be a lounge lizard. I am just so thankful the cruciate is intact!

I'm trying to work on Louis's socialisation as well and would love to help you out, trouble is Louis isn't a 'nice doggie' if another dog gets in his face

If anyone ordered those cheap crates from catch of the day they will probably arrive today. Got mine this morning and I am very happy with it. The dogs love it and have remembered their crate training from their breeders and keep popping themselves in their for a snooze.

Mim, totally OT but I had a dream about you the other day!

We were walking past a house in NZ (on the street I grew up on) and there was a couple of Corgis out the front of one house. Someone said it was called Daina and I said 'Oh is the other one called Mim?' They said yes so I have a lightbulb moment and go "Oh, so that's where Mim lives!"

So weird and random hey??!! :D

You'd think it was because I was spending too much time on DOL but actually I don't even have internet access at home now and so only catch up briefly occasionally at work.

My little Paddy Pop got roughed up last night by a huge Newfoundland. :( He seems fine though, happy enough to trot around with a couple of Bernese Mountain dogs aftewards thankfully.

Puppies are like babies, they add grey hairs to your head :D

;) Do I need to get a restraining order GR?! ;)

I've had a dream about a DOLer before and it was pretty much the same thing, I recognised the dogs and then the DOLer ;) In my dream though I had lumped a whole group of DOL dogs to be owned by this one person ;) Dreams are funny things. Interesting that it was set in NZ though because my mum is from NZ!

ETA your post reminded me that on Sunday we drove past Lake Monger and I saw an adorable Newfie puppy being walked ;)

Oh no poor Paddy! Puppies do add grey hairs, Paddy is quite calm though, Mason used to race off to every dog, he was so confident as a young pup and I always worried that he would get bitten etc but he managed not to.

Wow you can chat! I've not been on for a bit dont think I'll read through the odd 70 million pages to catch up :D

Things are great here the wee man is maybe slighlty improving after all our set backs... It's going slowly but it's going looking forward till the end of Nov when I will have nothing but time to put into him (yay for summer break at uni). We start our class training on monday eeeeeekkkkkkkkk I'm stressed I just know he's going to be the worst in the class! I still haven't gotten hi to walk on a leesh properly which is frustrating me and him I would guess. Oh well this is why we are going ;) I am really looking forward to it get him out there meeting all the other pups making some new friends.
