SparkyTansy
Valley yes i have tried clicker with James... i have no doubt i can train him (patiently) but honestly he is fine the way he is. He gets heaps of attention and i think he actually enjoyed being on his own the other night. He had a kong full of biscuits and peanut butter and his speshy nylabone... and no one to compete with!! Besides, he does sit, it just takes him a while to decide if itis worth his while... you should see how fast he does it if it is!! quickbrownfox i love your puppy. when I was growing up a close neighbour had an airdale, and later got another. Such lovely dogs - stubborn to the max but still lovely! This particular airdale was "friends' with my two weims, although he had little interest in much besides marking his territory!! Since my bestie is in Europe and I am going to start taking his Lab Bronson to training on Mondays so he gets an outing every week. He is 10 coming 11 in November but you would never be able to tell .

CrazyCresties
Yes Stanley is my first Airedale and pet since moving to Perth this year. He went in for his 10 week vaccination today. Stanley looks a real sweetie :D More pics please :p My two have gone into hibernation mode, can't see them for duvets Thanks for the recommendations for Kathy Kopellis McLeod for Louis - I have given her a ring and spoken to an assistant so will hopefully get some help for us both soon :D Thanks also to whoever recommended Maria at Click go the Shears, I took Daisy to her on Tuesday and she did a lovely job on her. Freshly clipped Daisy Once she had clipped her and washed her she noticed lots of tiny little bites round her neck area and said it may be sand flies Along with most of the wildlife over here, these are new to me, so is there anything I can use to deter them from biting her. We've been round Lake Monger a couple of times, so Maria thought she may have got bitten there?

quickbrownfox
Whoa, I was getting worried for a moment...wasn't able to upload pictures. (Sorry to those with slow internet connections, resizing and compressing photos is a PITA) OK this is a picture from Stanley's first week, but thought it was funny to add: The rest were taken this week: He is pretty awesome getting used to carriers and crates. He fell asleep in the new travel carrier on the day it was delivered:

pie
Nawww hello Stanley! I can safely say I do not want a puppy, especially since Trixie seems to be getting more destructive as she's getting older ETA: But I will gladly cuddle all of your puppies when you get them! CrazyCresties
CC, Daisy looks all proud of her new haircut Although isn't it a bit cold? She's got her pj's on indoors as this house is cold :p The trouble is when the sun is out, even at this time of year, it's hotter than the Scottish summers! She gets hot on walks, and with being a bit unfit after 30 days with no exercise, she is better kept clipped and cool for walks. She's kept nice and snugly inside
SparkyTansy
CC for the flys there are a few products on the market... you can also get... is it pyrethrum? gosh i can't remember, but you just dilute it in a bottle and spray it on... keeps off insects. When i found out spartan was allergic to some insects, we used to do this. Dasiy looks very cute with her new, light spring jacket I am puppy clucky, but not to own one... i just want to show one! Ari is enough puppy at nearly 3, and like Trixie, is becoming worse as she gets older!
quickbrownfox
awww he's gorgeous qbf - thanks for the pics He looks very mischievous though Doesn't he! However contrary to popular belief, he has been (mostly) a good boy so far. He sleeps through the night from 10PM to 7AM, licks my hand after I tell him off for biting, can sit and drop, will go outside by himself to the toilet, stays still in the bath & is friendly when meeting new people. My only grudges are that he drags the bath mat outside to chew on, and also destroying my plants (which isn't a problem until he figures out how to walk down steps.) The joys of having a puppy :p Awwww puppies are so cute! Any plans as an obidiene/agility dog for him? or a show dog? I have no intention to compete (Stanley was supposed to be a pet only), but I'm thinking of doing agility when he is a bit older just for fun. Stanley's parents are both show/obedience dogs.
