LOL RosieFT - I swear the specialist removed Kenz's drive chip when he did the operation. She wakes up I carry her outside to the lawn she gets a toilet break, she gets carried back to bed and we cuddle for a while then I get up and she gets breakfast. We try and go for an outing of some description in the morning so I'll take them both in the car. This morning they came shopping with me so sat in the car. Then came home and she is now back sleeping on her cuddler next to the computer desk by the heater.

I will crate her later this afternoon while I take Ness out for a half decent walk at some point. She is use to her new routine now although it doesn't mean she doesn't start to get ratty at various points during the day .

Then after tea she is crated downstairs while I watch TV. Then its upstairs to her bedtime crate.

hee hee you never know! I have seen speedy trixie in action and she is superb :)

Besides, i know you have your crippling competitor tactics that you use from the sidelines... snapping tupperware, oozing water bottles....

now, do you want your weave poles back? I don't need them, goldfish can't weave.

I know dogs are adaptable, but that is a serious change for a BC! I am sure it will come back when you are able to put her back to work :)

My kids were looking at the national geographic with all hte dog photos in it, and Sasha says she wants one of these, these or these.... they were a pug, papillon or border collie... hmmmmm had to point out the difference between chilling with a pug and chilling with a BC... maybe i iwll have to tell her it is possible!

Luck of the draw really!

I have a perfectly sound fit healthy purebred dog - unfortunately his temperament is very lacking.

Luck of the draw and research into family history but even then you are still taking a stab in the dark and a leap of faith really.

We had a mongrel family dog, from a long long line of pure mongrels  She was originally a camp dog, we used to live in a remote town, anyway she lived to be 18 or so but she was not without issues, heart murmurs, seizures, but still had a remarkable life span considering her background and also that she was tick and worm ridden and very underweight when we got her.

I have two very healthy purebreds, and two who have their fair share of problems. Before that two healthy weims for most of their lives but both died quite young (9 and 7) and before that a very sick puppy we lost at 12 months. I've never owned a mixed breed though so can't compare!

I think my next dog will be a cat , or maybe a goldfish - not many things go wrong with gold fish.. they are either alive or dead...

It is interesting that everyone slams mixed breeds, but this thread is full of purebred dogs with problems... guess it is luck of the draw.

Hahahahaha looks at her tank that now only has 10cm of water is green from all the algae, the filter obviously isn't on and the last time the fish got fed was when son tipped the whole thing of food into the tank hence the algael bloom and the four goldfish are still going strong.

Can i add my poor ragdoll x to the injured pets list he lives two doors down with the elderly couple comes home every now and then but they feed im and let him sleep on their bed and no kids or other cats or dogs why would he come home lol. He has been attacked not sure if it was a cat fight or dog attack. I am waiting for hubby to get home so i can bathe his wounds and shave and see if i need to take him to vet i don't want to rush off for them to do the same thing i can do *strapped for cash if ya know what i mean* his face is covered in scratches and he has puncture wounds in front and back legs i know he will need antibiotics probably. He is also covered in dry blood and sand so looks alot worse then it probably is once cleaned. his gum colour and his demeanour is still afeisty and fine i think i more stressed than he is. My normalgorgeous cat is ugly :(
