I have been moping around feeling sorry for myself as I have decided to scratch Rosie from agility classes :-( . So someone would have been happy to have gotten my spot!

ah well, will see how she is in term 3.

On the plus side, tuesday evening will be a lot less full on, as agility usually follows closely on the heels of kids swimming lessons.

Awww I'll miss you and my Sugar Plum

Sorry to hear Rosie and Ness are still not 100% :(

I woke up to a sad email from my friend in the UK who took on our two other cats when we left - my Mr Baghee Boo died yesterday  She said he was a bit quiet in the morning, but stretched, purred and took a treat from her, but when they got home he was in the same spot but had died :( He was 'only' about 12, not an old cat, so not sure what it was. The only good thing is it seemed fairly peaceful.

RIP Baghee - We will all miss your head butts, especially Betsy

Sorry about your news CC :(.

@RosieFT I took Kenz out to agility training the other week - the specialist said I could and OMG from the moment I got out the car there was this deafening high pitch squeal. Its insane. Having one of those nights - nothing is adding up about Kenz she has been fine today and I don't get why the chiro vet is so adamant on surgery . Oh well a few more sleepless nights this week.

ugh I really feel for you Ness. I guess, in the end, you can only take all advice on board and go with your gut and your brain. But difficult if you getting conflicting advice. I am just going to let rosie be a dog for awhile and try not to focus on it and treat her as normal and see if it gets worse, better or stays the same. !

Yep that has been what I have kind of reached for the last 2 months since the patella issue. There was no way on the planet I was putting her through surgery then she needed a life back so we have been back to normal walks for a while (I even stopped recording exactly what she has been doing last week - before that I had noted every days activities and any soreness issues). She has been to a sheep herding clinic, performed a DWD demo at the expo and done a mock obedience trial. She would have been back to doing more agility if she hadn't also torn the muscle in her right hind sometime in the last few weeks :(.

Today we have been on 2 walks and I have had endless toys tossed in my lap most of the evening and she has otherwise looked sound so its really messing with me.

Specialist has been marvellous though. I am sure I am starting to sound like an overprotective and worried owner. I guess when you have been living with lame dog for as long as I have you start to get a little worried it might all come apart again. I don't think the shoulder is fully recovered and I see signs it could go back to where it was. Hard when your dealing with chronic conditions. At least I am slowly learning when not to overreact :o.

ha Rosie tore something in her hind quad muscle .. so that had to heal.. and even that had a flare up a few weeks afterwards. But at least that one was uber obvious.. as in 3 legged dog LOL..

The worst is when people think you are crazy because sometimes you can see it and they can't... or your dog is *special* like mine, and when things are exciting she doesn't show it - or at least not as evidently.

But then you come back from a walk and your dog is limping so much you think you should carry it.. and then you get home and it is back to normal - almost. ugh

Good luck!

Had that happen at times to RosieFT :mad. Most recently at easter and it wasn't even the hind leg I know has a bloody issue it was the other one and I thought I was going to lose it. I am not sure I have much sanity left .

Sunday evening she was really sore and I thought we had some serious damage. By Monday morning she is bouncing around as though nothing is the matter . It so starts to mess with you it really does.

I did have to wonder though I sent some video through to the specialist and he said it was nothing to get excited over unless she was constantly lame or it was limping on more then one occasion in a 3 min routine .

Know how you to feel, I guess with Gibbs I was lucky In a way as his lameness never got better it was always pretty much the same except for a few days when it was obviously worse. Rosie have you had X-rays done? If not that would be my next step. Yes I think you do need a referral to Rivergum but I'm sure your vet will give you one as Rose has been lame on/off for quite some time.

Good work emery, I have 2 kiddies for you to bike next if you're keen :D

After such a long absence from training due to study commitments, it was sooooooooooooo good to be back out last night and just enjoying the dogs and not worry about study. Had a ball with Pippa in puppy agility class, then got my 2 out for some retrieving with RallyValley. Now I just need to find time to do some obedience training :o Monday night training doesn't happen often for me anymore due to classes being on Tuesday and the prep I have to do :(

If my mum asks any of you if you've seen Pippa, don't tell her I dognapped hershhh.gif

She's too much fun :D I might sway to the dark side myself one day
