Gees I don't check in here for a couple of days and I miss out on a truck load of "stuff" happening.

Glad to hear Gibbs is doing well after his op. Do you have a rehab plab from the specialist, as it seems to be a weak point of most orthopods be in the human and animal world? I would be asking for one in writing biggrin.gif

Happy belated birthday to Rosie - I know your mum spoilt you wink.gif

Mirrawee - ONE MORE SLEEP - how exciting. We will all be waiting for photos to be posted tomorrow please rofl1.gif

I have some news.......... I am going to be a Granny ................... yep Cider is having puppies thumbsup1.gif

and

Chica comes home on Thursday eek1.gif Never a dull moment in my house laugh.gif

Yup everything for Gibbs is in writing, he is only allowed short controlled lead walks until 6 weeks, then he needs to have another set of X-rays to check how the ulna has healed, after that he will be allowed to do more. However we see te surgeon again next Thursday for suture removal and I want to ask about swimming. Also after Easter he will be seeing Deb for some treatments :)

Congrats on the puppies

Sounds Like Gibbs is doing very well MG, good to hear

They only way you know 100% is by x-raying and to be honest it seems a waste of money to tell is something that is inevitably going to happen to Toby because of his past injury. He likely has arthritis in some form, even if it is just the slow process joint degeneration from his old injury. We are treating him with cartrophen treatments now, monitoring activity levels and continuing with Deb's treatments/joint powders etc.

I don't think it was arthritis pain the other day though since he bounced back so quickly.

Glad Toby is better so soon :D I think we'll have to get Indy in for some x-rays soon as she seems to be getting ever stiffer :( Cartrophen was recommended for her too if it is arthritis.

So i have a container of Earthborn Holistic puppy Vantage about 7kgs worth that i am giving away to any takers, i just want it gone :)

It's the brand I feed but I am trying to get rid of my puppy stuff as it is! Zora has finished growing now so I have to mix half puppy/half adult or she looks like a little tub of lard!

Lol it's been sitting here in an airtight container since before Xmas, both of mine are on raw so it's no use to me and Gibbs can't eat puppy food even if he was on biscuits

Ok... just finally finished catching up on everything!! Phew!! ok, apologies if I miss someone!!

Ptolomy - congrats on sticky puppies/puppy breath and how exciting that Chica is coming home soon!

:birthday: to Rosie!

RS fantastic news about Millie and her associate gundog! I remember talking to the retrieving club about it as they weren't sure how it was all going to work with getting associate gundogs so you must be one of the first to get through!

MG - Glad to see Gibbs is doing better since his surgery. What a horrible thing to have to go through (sort of been there!). Keep going on supplements and treatments. James has been doing so well since I started his treatments with Deb, and while he is always a little stiff in the rear, he is SO much better. He turns 6 this year, and he's doing quite well given it's both hips. He couldn't have cartrophen injections administered by me as he really didn't like having the needles - however since discovering the possibility he has thyroid issues, I'm hoping his unusually thick skin returns to normal and perhaps we can try again.

Also, MG with your holistic puppy food, if you can't find a taker for it, why not donate it to a rescue organisation? that's if you are ok to give it away, that is.

RV sorry to hear about Toby, but glad he is doing better

Washa congratulations on your new baby - he is adorable! with food, my two weis get approx 400-500g raw a day, James gets a lot less til his thyroid treatment starts, and Spartan gets 2 cups dry with supplements.

Mirawee - how exciting your new bundle is nearly here!! don't envy you with the puppy proofing... i lost two pairs of thongs within 24 hours yesterday, from madam Lulu who is very sneaky! i can't wait til she grows out of it!

planning to put up some pics at some point today. I didn't get any pics of clumbers, sorry MG. They weren't represented in the BIG lineup either, and I'm not sure why. I didn't hear the reason but i think it's possible that the BOB winner was not approved by the vet and disqualified from the group. Gundog day was quite rediculous - so many people there, and I spent all my time outside the ES ring, which was very rewarding seeing so many beautiful ES in one place. The winning BOB ES was shortlisted for the group - a stunning blue dog. ES have now been listed as a vulnerable breed in the UK, so the breeders are going to have to start thinking about expanding their genepool to help their breed move forward. :(

the shopping itself at crufts was just amazing. A lot of people say it's expensive, but compared to what we pay for some dog products in Australia, it was all pretty cheap! I brought back a few things for myself. One of my favourites is a beautiful handmade leather collar for lulu (pink, of course) and a bronze setter statue which I had to leave with my mum in Jersey because I already had too much stuff to bring back!

I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone!!

Squeeeeee!!!!

She's here!

There were three puppies and she was the only one who was quiet :p I was a bit concerned as she was sitting at the back of the crate but as soon as we went to get her out she happily came up to us :)

Peed, pooed and watered on the grass as well as a small play and now we are on the way home (Mum is driving) :)

She is so cute! And little! It is amazing how much smaller non fluffy dogs look LOL

So cute Showdog :) Jive will still fit on my lap when she is an adult LOL

I can't believe how tiny she is at the moment though... the last few younger pups I have been playing with have been Lappies so have all the fluff to make them look bigger
