mirawee
I never want to buy another puppy again! How come every other time I bought puppies it was straight forward and not this time I am nearly tempted to say it is too hard and don't bother except I have been waiting so long After being told for so long the pups would not be flown before 10 weeks I have now been told she will drop them at the airport at 9 weeks! Pity I booked my holidays for the week after and I can't change them I had also told her that 10 weeks worked better for me in terms of what was on each weekend too. Oh well, did you ever think someone would complain coz they are getting their pup earlier than expected?
RubyStar
Nope, never expected anyone to complain about that and I thought I was about to read that your breeder had decided she wouldn't send them until 12 weeks now or something  But I can see your frustration. You really do want to be home with them at least in their first week. Just think how worth it she is after all you have been through to get her :) Did you have a name yet, or are you keeping it secret? I can't remember! P.S. I need to stop logging onto here and reading about all the new puppies, I will never stop being puppy clucky!!! Is it my turn for one, yet? Ptolomy
For those of you not on WA Click - photos from the Western Classic. RubyStar
Thanks, Ptolomy :) I love the one of Millie playing superwoman. All she needs is a cape, as her arms certainly indicate the superwoman flying pose Some very lovely photos of all the winning dog/handler teams! Tumbleweed
Elvis today refilling for the fire down the road Hiya - I work with the waterbombers, and this one's name is 'Marty' (same type of aircraft as Elvis, but that is the one in the eastern states). Pretty spectacular isn't he! The rotar wash has to be seen to be belived too .
pie
My uncle showed me some photos of Marty from when he had to move it (he's a wharfie crane operator - Marty arrived on a boat), it is a seriously impressive and massive piece of kit! Stupid fire - I was out all day and the evap was left on so pumped smoke through the house, now everything stinks like smoke!

My husband and I both work in fire related jobs so over spring/summer/autumn it seems our laundry permanently smells like smoke! Bush smoke isn't too bad, but grass smoke is the pits. Tumbleweed
Here's one Awesome shot. I love the fact it is being pulled along by such a little forklift (in comparison to the chopper anyway)!

mirawee
Cool pictures :) And I am very glad the fire managed to avoid any housing (that I heard anyway...) Well after a lot of finangling at work I will be able to pick Jive up from the airport (at 2pm not the evening as originally said!) Wednesday next week and all going well I should be able to have the Thursday off as well Friday is my normal RDO so I will have 4.5 days with her before going back to work :) I am now starting to wonder what I got myself in for though as I enjoyed my sleep in on Saturday... Oh well, hopefully it won't take me too long to teach her sleep in = good Getting excited now :D Oh and she the red girl looking up at the camera in the photo I posted :)
