After being nice and bandaging Ruby's leg Saturday night instead of making her wear the cone of shame to bed, I awoke at 5am to licking sounds. Little b!@#$ had pulled the bandage down just far enough to access the patch and she was licking it :mad

So I grumbled at her big time, but she just lay there thumping her tail at me like I was praising her :o

Cone of shame went back on and has only come off for supervised meal breaks. Even made her sleep in it last night. She will be inside by herself for about 5 hours with it on, I feel uneasy about this, but what else can I do? Millie will be locked outside so they can't play and get caught up in it. I expect Ruby to just sleep all afternoon.

The patch is looking slightly better. It's pink still but it's dry, not gooey. I've been applying the peroxide and tea tree oil. Think the hair will take ages to grow back, though :(

ST, I hope Spartan is ok! Poor boy :(

SR peeps, is training back tonight??

I know and have seen it work but the mouth wash Listerine is great and dries it out straight away. A friend has a labrador and she gets it hasnt had one for awhile now and been to vets about it and used stuff that didnt work and got bigger and his breeder said for him to use listerine and had disappeared and now when he sees a spot he just gets it out and hasnt had a problem since

Thanks for the tip. I'll try Listerine next if the tea tree oil doesn't work. I don't think this is your usual hot spot, it's just a bit of razor burn?

The WA dogs are certainly in the wars at the moment! Hopefully they will all be recovered soon :)

In more Lappy news... we are taking over the world :rofl:

Not really, but another of the young Lappies, Taavi, owned by a first time show person took out Minor in Group on the weekend (and nearly beat Arlo for DCC and BOB) Which means that after 4 shows we already have 2 Lappies qualified for next year's Puppy of the Year contest :D

I got home and found my Canine News in the mailbox thumbsup1.gif Don't know why I get excited when it arrives, I just do :o

Not enough obedience trials! Only a few night time trials left :( They only just started!!!!

First official night back at obedience training. Ruby was a very good girl and happy as Larry! Hope she keeps that smile for our trial on Saturday :)

I won't be training tonight :( Toe still healing. Looking good but needs time for the skin to toughen so it doesn't split again. Still in mega bandage until Saturday at least.

Which means we have three weeks off training since I am going away next week.

Spent all Summer waiting for training and trialing to recommence and now can't do anything anyway! Should be interesting when we do eventually resume training

Noooooooooooo! I neeeeeed my terrier buddy !!

Rosie will be feral as I have only been doing a tiny bit with her. Will be interesting to see how she pulls up. No weaves or A frames allowed for her though, for now.

Pleased to hear the toe is healing well though.
