Bad storm has just hit here and I know it has been very bad SOR for a few hours! All 3 dogs are staying very close and if Banjo was any closer he would be on my lap!

No power even before the storm hit so no water either :( Luckily I don't have to be at work on time as I don't want to drive through this if I can avoid it!

Hopefully everyone stays safe.

it's quite bad now in Welshpool, although it looked as though it was coming from the south. Ari is scared in storms she woke me up at 2am :( Lulu, on the other hand, insisted I play ball with her outside during the thunder last night... thank goodness she hasn't picked up Ari's fear of storms!!

Guest RosieFT

Rosie has her hackles up and lets out a bark and a growl with each thunder clap and if let outside barks and runs around trying to get the big bad thunder.

But is seems to have all past by here now...

Oh big tough Rosie!

My two aren't storm phobic but I'm always keen to keep them that way, so last night we had a merry game of isqueak chasing when the thunder started  And I gave them a chew each when I left because I didn't want them to go out the back - dogs behind us are storm phobic and were barking and crying when the thunder went :( I don't want my dogs to 'catch' it!

Three people have been struck by lightning   one was in Welshpool ST!

http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/thunderstorm-strikes-citys-south-20120120-1q9au.html

St John Ambulance transported a person who had been struck by lightning from Wyeree Road in Mandurah to Peel Health Campus at 4am.

A second person was also struck on Brennan Promenade in Baldivis at 4.30am and was taken to Rockingham Hospital, where they were discharged later this morning.

And a third person, a 42-year-old truck driver was struck by lightning at his Welshpool workplace.

The man had been standing near his truck in the yard at Hertz when lightning struck around 9am and caused the man to go into spasms, a colleague confirmed.

The man was rushed to a nearby medical centre before being transported to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

And that is exactly why I HATE storms where lightening is involved, and I can't believe how many people think how cool storms are :o:(

One cracked really loudly near here around 9am, was terrified it would hit the house!!

Hope they are all ok.

yes I just heard that on the radio too!! I do like storms, but I was crapping myself driving to work - all i could see was massive bolts behind me driving down Roe.

Apparently the three only sustained minor injuries and all were ok, I think.

We had a big crash around 9am too - apparently it hit our other building on our lot.

I hope my house isn't torn apart by Ari when I get home!!

We stayed at home until it had passed us LOL. Then got to work slightly late :)

Had a nice river out the front of our place and across the driveway - will be interesting to see what it is like when I get home!

I hate lightning :(
