Sorry to hear Bondi is still poorly, hope her treatment helps ease her aches :(

Louis was back to the vet tonight, potentialy a cruciate problem :( :( :( The specialist will take a look on Wednesday morning, then he may stay in for X-rays etc.....

Sh*t why don't I have insurance, sounds like 5k will be disappearing from our account if it is cruciate :( That's bad, but what is worse is I'm seriously missing my Louis cuddles, and so is he as he is confined to a bed on the floor. My poor baby boy, I don't want him to have to go through this

Oh poor Louis :( CC if it were me I'd be getting him checked by a Bowen therapist also - some vets can be a bit overzealous about surgery. Probably still need the X Rays ETA: No harm in trying anyway and if it can avoid surgery and a $5000+ bill then it's worth a go?

Fingers crossed it's nothing too bad for your little man

It is now bucketing down here and thundering (Applecross area)

Absolutely bucketing down in the south, now! Ahhh love to listen to the rain when I don't have to be out in it :D

But hope for your sake mirawee that it stops!

Ruby and Millie saw Tracy today for their first Bowen session. Millie was a bit sore in a shoulder and her buttocks laugh.gif But nothing severe so doesn't need a follow up session. I mentioned to Tracy about Millie being a bit incontinent when she drinks heaps of water and weeing herself when she is asleep. So she did her thang down in Millie's private areas and says that should fix it eek1.gifthumbsup1.gif And if in summer she is starting to suffer from it again to come and see her again when it's happening as she can treat it then. Awesome! If this natural way works then I won't need to put her on medication for it thumbsup1.gifthumbsup1.gif Worth a shot I say :D Millie was so at ease for a lot of it, she was laying on the table for belly rubs laugh.gif

My poor Ruby, I knew she was sore. Turns out she was very sore :( Pinched nerves in her shoulders with her left shoulder worse, causing her to not be able to extend her front legs and short stepping. It went diagnally across her back to her right hind leg so it kind of explains why on recalls/retrieves she comes into me at a diagonal :( She is booked in for a follow up session in 10 days. Tracy reckons she should be good as gold come the weekend thumbsup1.gif Here's hoping I see the results I'm after :D

Lewis did similar things, not reaching in his stride, one back leg not quite reaching as it should and when he stood naturally himself he tended to a-frame slightly and drop his wither.

Now no signs of most of it, but sometimes when he pulls peccy zoomies and doesn't quite pull it off we have to go visit again :)

Yes Train a pup time. Is it for some1 who hasn't had a dog before?? I found pup school this time around very boring and a bit of a waste of time. I'm even battling in club classes as I know how to teach most things. I would skip classes altogether but then he wouldn't be able to do the club comps

CC have they actually managed to get a positive drawer sign. Otherwise I'd be tempted to rest him which is what Kenz's physio has suggested with her. She may potentially have a partial torn cruciate. Any way just a thought. Also apparently if you keep having them manipulated to check then it can actually delay the healing anyway. They can build scar tissue to stabilize the joint without always needing surgery to repair it.

A friend's BC did a partial cruciate but with rest it came good.

train a pup time is great - the best part is that it's not a free for all puppy pile up play session and the puppies learn how to interact. it is a little bit more for the less than knowledgeable owner but I would never skip puppy school again after seeing the difference in the way Lulu and Ari interact with dogs (Ari missed puppy school).

CC sorry to hear about Louis :( fingers crossed things get better.

RS great news about Ruby and Millie's session... hopefully things are on the improve for Ruby!!

Thanks Ness, he's pretty much giving himself crate rest in his smaller night time crate, and I'm getting a bed for a larger crate we have and will set him up with that during the day.

At the moment my vet said she's not saying it is a cruciate tear, but when maninpulating him, he is reponding in that area so it's pointing in that direction. The specialist is checking him out tomorrow, so hopefully a clearer diagnosis by then :(

I've not been through this before with a dog, so all new to me. Louis says thanks for all the virtual love :)

 Tracy fixed Bondi's incontinence too :)

Did you find it actually fixed it? I am hopeful! I won't know until it starts warming up and she is drinking more. If I find she is having problems I will take her back again before going the medication route.
