mirawee
RosieFT, that is a bit I have never seen then do a collapsible tunnel like that before (but then I haven't done that much research)! Only go through a deli curtain This is the main clip I have seen . And this one looks interesting too... they have a seesaw!

Guest RosieFT
Mirawee - yes those clips are much more sedate.. LOL.. maybe if i had looked at those FIRST! hee Cannot see the real need to have a horse that would willingly go through a big plastic bag... hmmmm you know, 'just in case...' LOL RS - Facebook.. well got a scam/spam/virus pretending to be from facebook tonight.. telling me to click on a zip file because i had to change my password due to abuse or some such rubbish.. yep DELETE. I have not had an active facebook page for almost 2yrs now LOL. i kept waiting for a dog to get a fork in the eye.. LOL.. :-) Not sure if this bband thing is actually good for my butt... keeps me longer in the chair looking at funny stuff... ;-)
Lab_Rat
Seriously, my head is spinning LOL... this dude he has his horse going through a home made collapsible tunnel that is not even really fixed to the ground.. i shudder at the what if's..... these are horses, not dogs.. wow... how to get yourself killed 101 ... LOL Now see to me that just looks like soooooooooooo much fun!!!! Not dangerous at all!! That guy wouldve been doing so much work with that horse, possibly years to get to that stage! If you and your horse are a team, and your horse trusts you - I think its the ultimate show of trust to have your horse follow you willingly through a dodgy tunnel, and then a huge pile of plastic and not even bat an eyelid, even seems to be enjoying himself Beautiful to see!!! He also had a little video clip on the agility website about how to train your horse to jump through a hoop ;) Mas - I hope all goes well with your poor toe today try and think how much better it will feel!!! Im off to take my sheepies to have haircut today They will look so different without wool, poor things!!! And I know the shearer will tell me off for them being so fat But its so hard to keep two pet sheep skinny

Lab_Rat
Hmmmm, they probably dont live as long as they could!!! Having said that - our last two lived to 15 & 16 which is pretty good considering they usually get eaten when quite young!!! I would say they would also have breeding and lambing probs if too fat! Our little ewe seems to come into season quite regularly, much to the wethers delight The reason pet sheep usually get so fat is that they are in small paddocks so dont have to walk far to feed and they get hand fed too much!!! And they are a bit like chooks - will eat til they burst!!! Silly things

(cant remember where you guys live ) i could use one to keep the grass down in the backyard lol. i live in suburbia unfortuantely so no pet sheep i don't know enough about them lol. though do have rellies that have some. i have thought about mini goats but think they may be too destructive eta maybe a cow would be a better idea Edited May 3, 2011 by emery
mirawee
Now see to me that just looks like soooooooooooo much fun!!!! Not dangerous at all!! That guy wouldve been doing so much work with that horse, possibly years to get to that stage! If you and your horse are a team, and your horse trusts you - With him in front getting the plastic out of the way it isn't too bad - but could you imagine if the horse tried to go through by itself Having seen enough dogs get caught up in collapsible tunnels and knowing how dumb horses are that is just a recipe for disaster! But looking at the Aust Horse Agility Club website it definitely isn't a piece of equipment they would use

You can also get Square Meaters, and even mini Herefords Llamas & alpacas dont generally like dogs, but mine WILL tolerate dogs!!! I guess if you bring them up together they will get used to each other, but as they are guards, I cant say I blame them

But looking at the Aust Horse Agility Club website it definitely isn't a piece of equipment they would use ;) Of all the horses Ive had over the years, I think there would be one that I couldve trained to go through a tunnel with plastic at the end.......The rest wouldve done the usual snort, tail over the back and hightailed it  Im thinking the dogs would be FAR easier to train for that one ;)
CrazyCresties
Mason - Hope all goes ok today for you Are you trying to steal away our possible photographer? No poaching You in am then up to me in pm ;) Share and share a like And I have Mas all to myself anyway - but just putting the options out there since I will be making the ponies run around anyway ;) LOL, would love to come to both, but I have a 'shoot' with a couple of dogs from reactive rover in the morning, so not sure my OH would be too chuffed with me going of in the afternoon as well Although I am sorely tempted by the thought of seeing your arabs mirawee......... And you can all stel cc for photos but i got her for the dog show on the 21st so stay away from that date Don't worry, that's reserved for you emery ;) Check this link out, HILARIOUS!!! 2 dogs "dining" That's funny but I too kept wincing every time a fork went near an eye! A miniature cow would be cool!!! Im just hanging out for my llamas I would love a miniature cow, imagine one the size of a miniature horse - the poo would be just a stinky as a full sized one though
