ST, she is looking lots more preggers now  3 weeks to go :)

Ptolomy, do they have any idea why he is off colour? Or are the bloods just a general thing to see if anything is picked up? Lots of healing vibes going his way :)

He has anaemia and is dehydrated, so bloods will hopefully give us a clue as to what is going on. His get up and go has gone and he spend lots of time sleeping and the biggie - he is off his food

a coated pup is mine in a couple of years  I want to make it to an agility trial soon, my friend wants to come out and watch too.

whats the deal with bringing a visiting dog for some socialisation? Her little miss needs to get out a bit and meet some new dogs

she is keen to do agility when pup is older as well

I think Canine prefers that visitors leave their pooches at home. This could be for any number of reasons, libilities if the dog gets into a fight or bites someone (Canine can at least trace members dogs in the event of this), the vaccination rules that members are expected to abide by but visitors may not with their dogs. If the dog proves a problem especial in the eyes of other visitors it is a reflection on the club as a whole as they don't know that it is a visiting dog. Probabaly more reasons than these but food for thought, while your friends dog may be perfectly well behaved and vaccinaited they have to have a blanket rule for all visitors. Just imagine how crazy it would be if they DID allow everyone visiting to bring their dogs too, not everyone who ownes a dog is dog savy and I could imagine things could quickly get out of hand.

It would probabaly be best for her to look at joining one of the obedience clubs to help with the socialisation or maybe take regular visits to Better Pets and Gardens or City Farmers were there are usually plenty of understanding doggie people to help with social interaction by giving out pats. Most canine activities at canine would be somewhat overwhelming for a dog still learning about socialization and would do better in a less intimidaiting enviroment of meeting just a few people and dogs at a time especially if the owner doesn't have much experience of this enviroment. In an obedience club an instructor could assist with any issues that might crop up whereas competitors may not be as patient if they feel the dog is causing problems or getting into their dogs personal space.

Day 42 (Week 6)

Oh poor boy  Hope you get something to work with from the blood result :cooldance:

Well we managed to fail beginners obedience the other night :champagne: Poor Louis was fed up and cold after waiting around for a while and refused to drop completely on the damp grass  It's a shame as I really wanted to try him at beginners agility next term and not sure I can do that without a pass in the obedience :cheer: Of course as soon as we got home he dropped perfectly in the comfort of his warm dry home :happydance:

ST - Wow she is starting to fill out!!! Still looking as happy as ever having her picture taken :cooldance:

Ptolomy, hope your poor kid is ok

CC, poor Louis.....I know how you feel! Wandy did the same thing in one of her first obedience tests....It was drizzling and she just looked up at me and refused to drop...Was quite amusing looking back, but not at the time :champagne:

 Have a chat to Ang and see if you're allowed to do the social agility on Monday night? Shame you can't make it on Tuesdays for ACWA.

It's always the way though, they know what to do but come test time, they fluff it! I remember Millie had the runs the night of her first assessment, she just kept her nose to the ground to find a spot to toilet. Poor girl. We scraped through the test then she exploded for the second time that night from the rear end! She was fine until we got there though... maybe the nerves got to her  After her system was cleared, she was heeling beautifully :)

Lots more healing vibes going Scoota's way this morning... although hopefully he is all better already ;)

Healing vibes also going to Trixie since Amypie is a mean mother

I just heard that our co-owned girl in Qld has come into season and they are thinking of breeding her now rather than waiting until next year :mad Which means that we could end up with two puppies this year! At least this time the Lappy puppy will definitely be living with Mum and Dad
