I am doing the obedience trial on Friday as well :) I wonder if I will be as nervous this time

How do you have time to get home and then back down to K9 for vetting - mate I would be exhausted!

Inside edge ;) I know the organisers well (they have Lappies :( ) and have been told sterilised bitches won't be vetted ;) I didn't go to training on Tuesday as well so that I could leave work early tomorrow.

Saying that things changed since we organised it and I now have tomorrow off anyway so Raven can have a massage in an attempt to get her sound for her big show in just over a weeks time (note: Raven is a horse) since the patient I was meant to have at work today unfortunately died :D so I swapped my patient tomorrow so I didn't have to work.

ETA: if you followed the above you are doing well  Also this is the last night obedience trial and Varda would not cope with trialing during the day until the middle of winter :p

OMG! What did you do to your patient?! :( That's so sad :D

I can't believe Ruby only got one night time trial in, and Millie 2 before day time ones come back. Daytime trials suck!!!! My dogs don't work as well, and we can't booze it up!!

That is probably a good thing, I craved and bought chips. At least that isn't something sugary! I hate working in the city.

Nope, just saturated fat :(

And your point is?

EI - I enjoy crisps too! I love salt and vinegar, that is my weak spot, I could crunch them till the cows come home! Much better for you in my book, sugar is bad for your teeth and at least crisps r made from potatos which are a vegetable! I'll just keep telling myself that eh!

english.ivy good luck at the tracking workshop!!! it's loads of fun :(

Our social club is holding a special workshop this weekend for Weimaraners. Trackwest has been kind enough to host it for us. Unfortunately, I'mnot going :D but I do hope it is a success. I am hoping to get back into tracking in August with Ari :) more than half way through the season of course

It was sad  She is actually one of my clinical trial patients so I have seen her about 5 times over the last 2 years :) She was a very frail lady although still full of spirit so while I didn't think she would die so soon it doesn't suprise me that much ;)

Note: I haven't seen her since closer to mid-last year so I have had nothing to do with her passing!

What is it you do Mira - sounds facinating

I do visual electrophysiology

Specialised eye testing that allows me to legally torture people :( Although I have had all the tests done to me too and they aren't that bad :D

True, my brother was given Chromium tablets from his naturopath and he said they stopped his sugar cravings completely

Yep me too

Is it just safe to start taking them? I have a heart thingy which is not serious but certain stuff can throw my balance off and then I get palpitations, for eg Calcium causes a prob..

With all this talk about sugar cravings, I now feel like some chocolate

Well Ive been enjoying the first week of my holiday doing absolutely bugger all!!! Been for some nice walks with my two girls though

Last night Zola decided to start counter, or rather sink surfing  and ingested the plastic covering off a meat tray! Took her a sneaky 20 seconds little bugger!!! Rang my vet, who suggested keeping an eye on her and feeding her softish foods for the next few days....

This morning she decided to regurgitate the piece of plastic in a lovely pool of yellow gack Bloody dog!!! Thankfully she is ok now and shows no signs of ever having eaten the offending bit of stuff!!!!!

Lovely pictures CC

LR, I feel your pain! I hate having counter surfing dogs but they never do it when I am there so it is a bit hard to correct LOL

And now a whinge. Not pointed at anyone on here but because I can't whinge on FB where others may see it  The dog world is a small place. Making derogatory comments, or comments that could be taken to be derogative about someone else's dogs will likely get back to the person. Be even more careful when you make derogative comments that you don't make it sound like you don't think your own dogs are any good

Why is it that I immediately start pondering if I have said anything I shouldn't :( Does that mean I am a bad person???

Tiggy - Bear is all grown up!!!

Strauss came home last night - the final destruction count was.....

A wallet

a full bag of treats

a tissue box

a few shoes (always only one of a pair)

and lots of plam branches

So a good effort over 10 days! He won a few hearts and they have offered to have him again - so all is good :(
