Jodie Elijah
Mirawee the pups mum should be in season this month or next so born June/July, I am hoping that they will be born later as then it wont be so cold when he comes home My son has already decided that we need to move the heater to a different spot to allow the puppy room to sit in front of it... RubyStar
RS - we saw a certain lab nick off to go toilet, and then have a lovely romp around.... unlike the crazy zzzzooooooooommmmmmmyyyy Rosie did after finishing her little course. LOL.. i think the wind got up her tail! Yes, don't get me started on that. Too late, you have We were bitching while setting the courses up that we don't get time to toilet our dogs appropriately before class, while there are plenty of people romping around the oval with their dogs, playing ball, toileting, etc. Gives me the Same thing happened to the guy with the BC in our class, and it was him we were bitching with! I guess we went and jinxed ourselves!!
RubyStar
Those puppy photos are adorable AP Given how many puppies DOLers are getting this year we nearly need our own puppy preschool LOL. I think Mason that your pup will be born a couple of months before mine? The mother-to-be for mine isn't due in season until June. So everything crossed I will have a new ratbag in November No fair! Everyone with puppies I am hoping when it is time for me to get a new pup that someone else on here is getting one too, or has some nice adult ones that don't mind a puppy hanging off them we can socialise with, as I would prefer that to a puppy preschool with strange dogs. ncarter
Hi fellow sandgropers. We have finally organised to have a holiday after all the hard work building new house and are looking at hiring a camper trailer and spending 10 days down south west WA in May. Has anyone got some recommendations for pet friendly camping and places to explore? Would love to hear everyones experiences, this will be the first time we have camped with her and are really looking forward to it. I have stayed here http://www.thelittlehouse.com.au/ I think there are a few different cottages on the block but the one we stayed at wasnt as nice as in the photos. Is was pretty good for what we were after though, close to everything, a really nice setting. I could lock the dog inside when we went out (i would trust the fences they were old). They had a chook pen near the house though so that could be a pain if your dogs like chickens. I dont think they would accept more than 2 dogs as well. eta - sorry didnt realise you were camping Edited March 2, 2011 by ncarter
ncarter
RE puppy schools - Kyzer went to puppy school. And look at hime I think puppy schools can be good but I will never ever again go to one that is just a free for all with puppies getting smacked down all over the place, especially with smaller puppies. which one did you go to amy? Im going to Clever Creatures in Samson, the woman seems to know her stuff, she knows all the Susan Garrett/Jan Fennel stuff and she has a lovely GSD

ozjen
LabRat - definitely don't be shy to come say hello, we're all friendly ;) I've made some really great friends in real life through DOL I think it helps they're all doggy people like me so we're never short on conversation Thanks Rubystar, I will definitely make the effort ....I know all the people Ive met so far from DOL have been wonderful! And I would like to add to the list! And know I have quite a few of you as FB friends, I know real names, which isnt quite as embarrassing when making introductions! But now I have to try and remember DOL and real names and get it right..........At least I know everyones dog breed and their names Oh and I saw all Millies results in the K9 news too!! there were quite a few names I recognised! Hope to catch up with you on the weekend too Labrat, always nice to meet who we are talking to on here.
ozjen
Hey AP, was that an English SEtter? If so, I think i know who you mean Yep! I will be baking cake tomorrow, as were heading to Perth Friday morning......So I will endeavour to make cake delivery rounds Friday night....The closer it gets though and the more I think about it, the more nervous I am feeling - I hate introducing myself to new people ;) (you would think being 42, I wouldve gotton over that kinda sh*t, but ahh, no!!).....I will apologise now if I sook out and dont introduce myself to any of you But I WILL try!!!!! Don't be silly! We are a friendly bunch, probably talk a bit too much though! After trianing last night I was talking to RosieFT and Mirawee and Ozjen for ages, then RosieFT and I said we were going then I think we ended up gasbagging for another half an hour next to the cars RE puppy schools - Kyzer went to puppy school. And look at hime I think puppy schools can be good but I will never ever again go to one that is just a free for all with puppies getting smacked down all over the place, especially with smaller puppies. Most fo us are abit shy to start with Labrat, but our mutual love of dogs makes it easier to mix and then you can't shut us up.
ozjen
The owner asked how much I had paid for my puppy and when I said $1100, she said that's why they went to a BYB to get their puppy. I'm surprised their pup was "cheaper", BYB's usually charge as much as registered ones! And the main reason they go for a BYB is cos they can get one now and don't get screened. Each to their own, eh? Yeah our friends paid $750 for there chi x that they got, I paid $1000 for Mason Pason 2 years ago so I am expecting it to be around $1500 maybe, as I have seen labs advertised anywhere from $1200 to $1700 here in Perth. Your friend got ripped of bigtime, could have got a reg ped for that or less.
