Mason_Gibbs
Just put the crate in the car for my special pickup ;) and it only just fit :p . I've just worked out I've not tried my new crates in the car yet, the old ones fit but the new ones are taller even though they're meant to be the same size. I think my doggies are going to be squashed into smaller crates for training :p . I need a bigger car . DOnt even talk about new cars, I SOOOO need a bigger one. Mason and his huge crate JUST fit into my Getz, I want a Hyundai IX 35....

RubyStar
I got my new car and it turned into a dogmobile. Lab hair everywhere, crates, training props, water bowls, poo bags, you name it. It's not a people mover anymore!!!

Golden Rules
Ok, ok - enough taking the piss out of the pom thanks :p Your pool and close proximity to the beach will have us all green with envy come summer months :p
mirawee
I'm already thankful for the pool :p I'm ok actually, but Daisy tends to get quite hot, so it's more for her than me, but as 36 is predicted this week surely this is getting close to summer temps :p The problem with summer is not the daytime temps so much (mid 30s are usual with spikes up to low 40s and very occasional days in the low 30s ) rather it is the fact that it doesn't cool down much overnight (low 20s for night time temps) and you have days on end of heat Emery, it used to be true that WA didn't get the humidity, but over recent years that seems to have changed Apparently though we are going to have a mild wet summer ;) Of course we were also meant to have a wet winter... and a wet spring.... ;) Edited November 1, 2010 by mirawee
Golden Rules
I sorted out a sandpit for th puppy last night (the cats think it's Xmas too! :p ) and I will sort out the paddling pool side of it this evening .... Ya reckon it will be OK to leave a 12 week old puppy outside under the patio on a 36 degree day? Or maybe I should crate him inside?
pie
I was just thinking yesterday how much I love my car, it is so perfect for me, fits my crates and gazebo and eveything, keeps the dogs cool with the breeze blowing through. The only things I'd change would be maybe leather seats for easier cleaning and a bit more power :p
RubyStar
Not a huge one, besides the fact that I can't open the windows without a snow storm of Lab hair flying around!!! And I have to unpack everything if I want to take more than 1 passenger... ....and the problem with that is??????I got my new car and it turned into a dogmobile. Lab hair everywhere, crates, training props, water bowls, poo bags, you name it. It's not a people mover anymore!!!

My car isn't all that practical, though. Sure it's big and the back seats fold flat, but I would like more boot room while the seats remain up. A station wagon like yours would have been better suited to me for the dogs. I like the Hyundai i-30's, in the station wagon. But I prefer mine for me, if that makes sense! ness
I had to request a tape measure when I went car shopping so I could measure the boot space and determine whether I could fit my weaving base plates in there :p . Mine is full of dog gear and maybe I should have got something other than a Mazda3 but it seems to fit me and the girls ok :p .

I know that there was a problem getting them as they had so many orders, I will only be able to get a used one in 2012 when hubbys car is paid off. Thank goodness I held out on the new car until after their arrival! I probably would still have my 2 door Daewoo Lanos if it wasn't for that irresponsible driver who took me out! And be in less debt than I am now!
pie
Yep I was going to get a hatch but a wagon is so much more practical. I've even transported a tree in it :p
ness
Nothing wrong with my Mazda 3 - I can cart around enough jumps for a GD box, a tunnel, my baseplated weavers, the 2 dogs, my gazebo, 2 crates and all other assorted training gear (both obedience and agility) and still have room for dog 3 :p . I know that there was a problem getting them as they had so many orders, I will only be able to get a used one in 2012 when hubbys car is paid off. Yup, luckily they gave us a loan car - we got them to write that in the contract when we placed the order ;) as we obviously didn't have a car here already, it would have cost a fortune in rental charges ;) Apparently it has now arrived at Fremantle and we should hopefully get it in the next couple of weeks :p
