I'm still looking for a house mate I'm not one for early rising, but I will get up at the crack of dawn and/or drive for hours if it means I get to go training with people who can really help me
ness
I know you are RubyStar - I am madly putting out feelers for a job . I'd do anything for cake on a Monday night .
Tiggy
If I join Southern River for training on Mondays do I just tell them I want to do my own thing not the classes? I hope you guys wouldn't mind me joining you, I'll have a puppy you can cuddle .
CrazyCresties
How long do you think it would take to get to K9 from Cottesloe? When I came down to the show before it was from the other side of Perth. Google maps tells me 57mins, but can't believe it would take that long Do they do basic obedience classes there, anything that would be suitable for Louis? or is it just somewhere you go to train your own dog and they don't really have formal classes? RubyStar
I still think people have the wrong idea about Monday night training You're all going to get a rude shock when you rock up and there is no cake and we all pretty much do our own thing But it DOES help with the motivation to have people near you, and to ask for help when you need it. CC/Tiggy - there are classes at Southern River. Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Intermediate and Pre-Trialling. Or you can do your own thing. If you want to partake in a class, you let them know. Or else just pay your membership fee and bring your $3 lights money and find a spare spot to work.

Thanks RS, a week night class is more appealing than losing half a weekend day for dog training....in my OH's eyes anyway I think I'll email them and see if they think Louis can attend. He's ok as long as all other dogs are under control and don't come bouncing up into his face.

The class sizes are pretty big, if Vic park is closer I would recommend Perth Dog Club which has fairly small classes and will be able to help out more with a dog with issues. Cheers, I've just left a voice mail on their phone and sounds like the new 10wk course started last week - bummer I'll send her a pm though and explain Louis's quirks The class sizes are pretty big, if Vic park is closer I would recommend Perth Dog Club which has fairly small classes and will be able to help out more with a dog with issues. Thanks VCBR, He's doing well in a group of about 10 dogs now at 'Reactive Rover', so I'm looking to get him a bit more exposed to more dogs - so long as they are under control I did some very basic classes with him back in Scotland and he was fine in a controlled class situation. OSoSwift
My CR parcel arrived. Well it arrived on Friday but I have only been able to get in today to pick it up. Very very cool stuff in that box I can tell you. It was open for quarantine inspection - I think the quarantine dogs just want to play with the toys!
